What's been in the works since November of last year, and based off his painting that he did for MPH's “This Could Get Ugly” (picture on the left) solo show, Chris Ryniak is happy to announce his latest leap from 2D to 3D with 'Bubblegut'. This little guy - snaggle tooth and all - is made of rotocast-resin, and as Chris put it he sits "5.5" tall of cake-eatin' goodness". They were originally sculpted by Chris, then passed over to the folks over at Circus Posterus where, as I type this, are being produced right now! As it stand right now there is no firm release date or run number, but look for these to drop in 2-3 months time with the possibility of some showing up as exclusives at Chris' 3 person show dubbed "Monsters and Misfits" which opens on April 12th, 2011 in Japan!

Custom lucha "Demon" by Chauskoskis
Mexican artist Walter Jacott aka Chauskoskis continues his custom rampage and this time around he tackled (literally in the wrestling ring) one of Coarse Toys' "JAWS" figures for a very patient private collector. Walter says that since this was a very special edition of the Coarse figure, he decided to try to keep the origional sculpt in tact... not altering to much in order to preserve the main features of the character. So what did he do... he turned it into one awesome looking Luchador named "Demon"! Ever single detail on this figure is top notch and was not overlooked by Walter, including the mask, boots, knee pads, and he even sculpted new hands to give the appearance of more power! Stellar work once again, and I am super envious of whoever the collector is that gets to add this as part of their collection!

Android blind box mini's Series 2 - Design's by Doktor A, Jeff Yaksick, and Google
Today we are getting a look at the next 3 pieces in the upcoming Android Series 2 3" vinyl figure release... and it's going to make some flip head over heels... especially if your a Doktor A fan :-) Gracing the ranks for this series is going to be UK's own Doktor A with his awesome "Rupture" designed bot! This looks super clean and the paint matches Dok's Dunny design spot on! With a ratio of 1/16, this piece should be fairly easy to find. The other designs are pretty generic... especially the all blue figure... would be great to get more designers in on this! These are set to retail for $7.50 and will be sold via blind box once again, and are slated for an early March, 2011 release! As it stands right now there will be 12 different designs, more announced as the date draws closer!

"Project Bear" Mini-Qees by Hugh Rose, Fried Gold Productions and HX
"Project Bear", the custom collaboration between CTU and Toy2R went live yesterday, and here are some of the amazing pieces! First we have "Cybear V.1 - V.5" by Hugh Rose. These guys are so detailed and full of layers that you must click on the image to fully enjoy them. Killer job Hugh!
Next up is "Les Petites Monstres" by Fried Gold Productions. These guys look incredibly realistic with their detailed sculpts, and the faux stone finish adds the perfect touch. I love the red eyed beast in the middle.... he has a deep gaze!!
Finally we have "MQ 2.0", "The Mini Aviator", "Bear in Love" and "MAC flower" by HX. The realistic elements and simplistic approach makes these stand out, and they are all spot on. Nice work! Check out the CTU store to pick up one of these amazing pieces, and keep on the lookout for more mini-qees from "Project Bear" to be showcased soon.

"Perry The Sea Wanderer" Sneak Peak by Thunderpanda x Plastic Culture
First spotted this past year at STGCC 2010 (Singapore Toys Games Comic Convention) was the multiple figure collaboration between Thunderpanda and Plastic Culture that featured new sculpts of a series of characters they are calling "The Wanderers". Today we are getting a close look at the production of one figure in this series... "Perry The Sea Wanderer". As you can see they are moving right along with the production of these resin figures, and in case you were wondering this guy stands a little over 8" tall and is just about as wide! This whole series is pretty stellar, and I really love the sculpting on each figure... especially this one... how can you not like tentacles :-) There is no word on the release yet of these or how much they will retail for but from our last check look for them to retail for less than $100 a piece! More info to come.

Handstand Octopus by Pause Designs for MWII
As the drop date for the Kidrobot Messageboard Most Wanted custom series II nears, more images are popping up, and this one by Pause Designs is just killer! The color fade and overall feel of this piece makes it my favorite so far. Pause did 14 of these plus one mystery chase, so keep an eye out for that. MWII is set to release sometime this month, so check their store or blog for more information, and maybe you will pull a Handstand Octopus!!

'Sexy Keiko' teaser from Fools Paradise
Fools Paradise just put up on their site a teaser of their next release... and I have a feeling this is going to be a hit. This is their latest 1:6 scale action figure titled "Sexy Keiko" and is a very unique female figure...scantly clad to say the least... who is wearing a vicious bear mask and bear paw gloves. This is so stylized and I can't wait to see more... and we really won't have to wait to long, seeing as the pre-orders go live on February 14th, 2011! More on this very soon!
