Smash Tokyo Toys just sent over some new pictures for an upcoming figure release... introducing "Seismic Cindy". This head sculpt is based off their SEISMIC ACE figure and will be used for three one-of-a-kind 1/6 dolls made by artist
Ralph Niese for Mattyboombatty to present as an award to three individuals who have supported
Smash Tokyo through the last year. These just finished being molded and as you can see from the above picture, the head on the left is a cast from the original... looking pretty great! The head art is based off original designs by
MONSTERFORGE with the sculpts done by Ralph Niese in his studio... and keep those eyes peeled for different variations, since they have the mold, there is no telling what they will come up with!

Speaking of Qee's... remember our post yesterday featuring the
Heavy Metal Qee project, and the teaser of the custom that
Jon Paul Kaiser is working on... well today we have the full reveal, and one thing is for sure... it does not disappoint :-) Jon Paul says that he's not based on anyone in particular; he's a Metal Fan! Jon Paul also states that he used some of his own original tattoo ideas, along with some clothing and general look which is inspired by cult UK group Iron Monkey. I love the little cassette belt buckle along with the belt threaded through the pants... so rad! Amazing work Jon Paul.

VISEone is at it again with his iconic Comic Stripped Series... this time around he tackled a Simpson's character that many hold near and dear to their hearts... Homer! Not only did VISE lay down multiple layers of cut out scenes for comics, but he did it on a Homer Qee from
Toy2R... a perfect match! Great job dude... a Simpsons fan dream for sure!

Nico Deacosta from
Likhang Pinoy Customs continues to impress with these four incredible pieces! The first one is called "
Houston, We Have a Problem" and is one of the most inventive customs I've seen in quite a while, totally unique. Next is the spooky halloween dunny "
Full Moon" which is my favorite. The third dunny is titled "
Pyrasphinx" and looks like it belongs in the desert with it's much larger cousin! Lastly is a 6" Symbiote called "
Kuma", and the sculpting on this guy is crazy! All four of these were part of a Christmas sale he was having and I missed the post (sorry about that!), so half of these are already sold... But go run over to his
blog and pick one up before they are all gone!

Haha, whoever says that the people you hang out with aren't influential, well... they are wrong. Just ask
Zach Trover as he has been working in the same studio with
Matt Hawkins (pretty much the god of paper craft) who inspired Zach to create his little mascot figure into a paper monitor companion... AWESOME! Look for both Zach and Matt to have a booth at this years
C2E2 in Chicago... more info on that when it drops, but if you like the little paper guy, visit Zach's site and let him know :-)

It's been about a month or so now since we have seen any movement from
Crazy Label on the extremely cool "
Inspector Cumulus" figure designed by UK's
Jonathan Edwards... but popping up today on Jon's
Twitter feed was this rad picture along with the caption "
Look who's just arrived?! Understandably, I'm quite excited. :))))"... an rightfully so as this figure of Jon's has been in the works for quite some time now, and seeing the fruits of his labor in 3D form has to be pretty surreal! There is no set release date yet, as the packaging still needs to be designed, but the hard part is over so look for this figure to be releasing in the very near future!

Yesterday
we showed off the the first design in a collaboration between
Kidrobot and
Swatch, that being the cute 3-eyed creation from
Tara McPherson. Today we are getting the first glimpse at the Dunny /watch combo from self proclaimed "graffiti fetishist" artist
Tilt. This design is what you would expect from the bubble type master, and I feel is really alot of fun... that pinwheel effect with the type is rad. It's pretty amazing the amount of coverage the got on that little 3" Dunny, and what it say... I have no clue. The watch does a great job of mimicking the design, and out of the entire series, this could be one of the strongest designs.

Starting out with a bang in early 2011,
Huck Gee just announced his first custom Dunny for the new year and it's a beaut! Titled "Dr. Dunmore Taggert ...and the Vlad Systems Terrain One Mobile Suit". Just like the rest of Huck's customs you can expect nothing but top notch quality... not only in the artistic style but in the production... in fact this series of figures has articulated fingers as well as shoulder joints, neck, even the booster packs swivel! These are limited to only 10 pieces worldwide and each figure is signed, numbered and comes with shown accessories... how much you may be asking yourself, a cool
$750 per figure, not for the casual collector... but all you serious Huck fans out there are most definitely licking yer lips! If interested, email
sales@huckgee.com ASAP to reserve your figure and make payment arrangements.

Andrew Bell just announced a really cool event that is happening on Thursday, January 27th from 6pm-8pm at Kidrobot NYC. This event titled “
Please Draw With Me” is a quirky little exercise that will get everyone involved with the creative process. Here’s how it works: you pick up a few of the sketch cards pictured above at the event, scribble a line or squiggle on one, then pass it off to me or anyone else at the event. It’s up to the recipient to make something out of your lines! Then you both sign it, high five and revel in the joy of collaborative art! Andrew will be on hand leading the exercise and he will also be previewing a few designs from his Android Mini Collectibles Series 02, due out late February / early March.

(The picture above is bad... on purpose)Seeing as the launch of
Sucklord's "YOU'RE AN A**HOLE FOR BUYING THIS" The SUCKADELIC Art Toy Universe retrospective launched this past Tuesday... we figured that you needed a heads up on all the art that was on hand, and is now available for purchase. There is sooooo much stuff to look at, spanning from the early beginnings of the Sucklord's career... in fact, there is enough resin in the online store to keep you and your wallet busy for the next year. Curious... head on over
HERE and stock up on some goods!

Well... we have come somewhat full circle from our past 2 updates on this mysterious figure
HERE and
HERE and today we received yet another picture... this time with the caption " bitch bitch bitch front and center, he is Warui Inu and he is the best friend of Boryoku Genjin. Even a kaiju needs a friend." So that kinda clairifies a few things... first off "Boryoku Genjin" is the crazy big lipped man like figure which is designed by Japan's own
NagNagNag, and now Boryoku get's a companion in the form of "Warui Inu". That rad dog like creature will come with the colar locked tight along with a cinder-block on a chain... no telling what kind of diseases this bitch will carry! More info soon!
