The figure was first introduced in their animated short called "fabriKation" (posted above), and as you can see in the figure it is composed or very smooth organic shapes, and coming in at only 3" tall this little guy is a perfect way to spread the word about their company. If you dig what you see, you can snag on of these up HERE, which by the way is limited to only 500 pieces, for the small sum of $25.

Kinekt Design's "K." vinyl figure
In the world of design, there are many ways to market yourself not only as a business but as an individual entity... that is exactly what Glen Liberman did as he is the designer and founder of Kinekt Design, a newly launched company. He wanted wanted to reach out to not only those who follow their commercial design work, but to the designer toy community as well. That being said he teamed up with with Motomichi Nakamura to create their first bust like figure titled "K.".

MRMUNK's rad custom Bambaboss
New York City based artist Lance L. aka MRMUNK is a total newcomer when it comes to the vinyl customization game... but one thing is certain, you can't tell that by looking at his work because it's really great! Above is a really weathered up custom ThreeA Bambaboss that Lance recently completed as a commission where he tackled it using a ton of different materials to give the piece a very layered/dirty look... he even did up the 3 faces in totally different styles, and when placed on the body really give new life to the figure. Lance is always down for commissions, so if you like the work you see you can hit him up via lancelamontart@gmail.

The Yellow Dino's prototype sculpt finished!
We just received a really great update on the progress of Indonesian based visual artist Yudi Andhika aka The Yellow Dino's collaboration with MyTummyToys. If you remember from a few months back we posted up a very cryptic teaser HERE, and now the art toy prototype has been finish and is now in the molding process. According to Yudi the figure will be around 10" tall and will be produced in a very limited quantity of high quality resin. This pieces looks very promising and I just love the attitude that this piece gives off.

This just in... Humphrey Mooncalf delayed...
That's right folks, the prestigious Mr. Mooncalf designed by Doktor A and produced by Pobber Toys, had a little mix-up with customs agents as he was supposed to make his presence known this week. Even though this may upset some, Humphrey will for sure be ready for distribution around mid-January 2011. There is also a little silver lining to this story as Pobber.com has officially launched, and they are also up on all the hip social networks out there... so hop to it and start following them for up to date info!
