Zacpac is proud to announce their special collaboration RODY with Japanese clothing label for kids,
FLAKE. Many of their lineups are inspired by skateboard, punk rock, and hip hop music culture... so you can see why this project goes hand-in-hand with them! Zac Pac and FLAKE found a common ground in the Italian born toy, RODY and they created a really awesome "VENICE BLACK" version of this figure which is inspired by the westcoast skate punk band, Suicidal Tendencies...gotta love it!
This VENICE BLACK comes with a special bandana, so RODY can wear it like gangstar, 2PAC, of course Suicidal Tendencies! This VENICE BLACK is on sale end of this month and they are now taking pre-orders

Today we are getting a nice little teaser from
Jimmy Foo as he is one of the many distinguished artists to be involved with the Sketchbot Show #2 which is going down on the Friday before Designer Con (11/19/2010) at
Munky King! What do we know about Jimmy's custom Sketcbot... not really to much, but I can tell you that his name is "Caytano The Knifethrower" and is one of the last remaining Cthulu around. Want to know more... well so do I, and until more is revealed hit the jump for the full back story on this elusive being!
Backstory on Caytano The Knifethrower:
Caytano used to be part of Bombast Furioso's circus, the 'Palace Of Wonders' and headlined with his robotic knife throwing act. At the time he was the only Cthulu circus act in the world and commanded a high price for his performances......
After a series of unfortunate incidents at the Palace Of Wonders coupled with the general decline of the circus as an entertainment, Caytano and many others found themselves out of work. With no formal training he found it difficult to make a living and for many years got by as a petty criminal until he decided to put his only skill to some use. He now earns an excellent living as a backstreet vivisectionist. He counts top universities, labs and pharmaceutical companies as his customers along with one or two wealthy 'hobbyists' all knocking at his door for his discreet services.
This poster is one of the few remaining images of Caytano, who now remains very elusive and camera shy.
Incidental factoid No1:
Otus the highwire performer worked at this same circus and was a very good friend of Caytano.

Not only has
TaskOne been busy curating shows, in the middle of moving from SF to LA, he has also been on a custom rampage, and today we are getting looks at a few pieces he has done recently. First up is a custom that he did for
Dragatomi, as they gave him one of Matt Siren's "
Ghost Girl" figures at SDCC... he mashed it up with a Jay222 "Benny Burlap" figure and the rest is what you see above... a completed birthday present for Joanne, the co-owner of Dragatomi titled "
Dragatomi's Ghost"!
Next up was his entry for the Custom Qee show that
Dragatomi held last month. Task completed this very last minute and he says that "I had a totally different thing planned out and then like 10 days before the show I saw the premiere for season 2 of Eastbound and Down and decided to change it all up and do Kenny Powers as
Steve the Cockfighter"... Click on the link to the left and you will see the uncanny resemblance in the custom that Task created. This piece is actually still up for grabs
HERE right now, so go snag it up!

Artist Adam Greeley shares with us today a sweet zombie'fied custom O-No Sushi. This was a comissioned piece by one lucky collector out there and Adam attacked this flesh eater using only acrylics. I love when people customize this platform because there are so many parts to it... tak e for instance the bowl of tentacles and how Adam painted the graveyard scene on it, really cool!
Zombie Sushi back story: "Feeling hungry for some sushi? If you run across this guy you might want to send him back to Hell’s kitchen. There’s a good chance this sushi will end up eating you before you get a chance to eat him. There isn’t enough wasabi in the world to knock this guy out."

Indonesian based visual artist Yudi Andhika aka
The Yellow Dino sent over some images of his custom Munny "Midnight Pirate", and it's rad! This was painted live at the
Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival, and the flat black is just so smooth and is a nice contrast to the gold. It must have been fun to watch him paint! Check out The Yellow Dino's
