Crossover items are really cool, and
Frank Kozik did just that as he took his uncanny ability to combine pop-culture icons together into a large bust... which he has done in the past, but this time around he had a little help. Frank created the Orange Flocked Ludwig Van Bust figure... why orange, well because the bust is a cross between world famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven and "Alex" (
who is a fan of Beethoven in the movie) from the Stanley Kubrick film "
A Clockwork Orange"... hence the orange and the lashes :-) This piece stands 16" tall and each comes with a 2 color silkscreen print signed by both
Frank Kozik and Malcolm McDowell during SDCC (above), who played "Alex" in the movie... how rad is that! These are limited to only 100 pieces and are retailing for $300.00. If interested... these are available at most all vinyl toy shops or through
DKE Inc.

KingQuan's recent customs for the Little Monsters Show literally look insane! Quan strayed from his usual ultra-smooth look for these creepy customs, but you can still see his style all over them. Complete with dripping blood and his trademark cherry blossoms, these customs as well as many others can be seen at the
Little Monsters Halloween Show at Million Fishes Gallery in San Francisco on October 31!

Posted up a few days back on Jesse Hernandez's
Facebook page is this dope photo of Jesse holding not only his "OG" Mictlan figure but a new, previously unseen, "Southern" version which looks so fresh. The cool color pallet really compliments the sharp lines on this figure. If you look close, you can see just the front of the skull staff accessory... in that nice purple hue! Word on the street is that you may see one of these releasing next month... which one, I guess we are all gonna have to wait and find out!

Jeff Lamm's "Greasebat" figure may just be the vinyl toy of the year... it got such a huge following and now each version is getting scarcer and scarcer to find. Now, what would a good artist do if you have a successful run, curl up and stop what your doing...NO, and that's exactly what Jeff is NOT doing as he just announced via his
Facebook two new characters that in the beginning stages look so fresh already... I can't wait to see more!
Titled "M 5 BRAVO" & "STEE-GAR", each toy is made of three interchangeable sections and can be mixed and matched. Legs move, wings move and arms on M 5 Bravo move. There is no word on a release date, run size, how big the figures are... any of that, but what we do know is that these are in the wax prototype stages right now. Also it appears that they are being produced by a new company called Unbox, who's website eludes me for the time being. I really love the concept of interchangeability, and that really does open up the realm of so many more possibilities. Hit the jump to read about each of these interesting new characters, and also if you would like info on release dates, etc. email Jeff at
greasebat@gmail.com where all you have to do is write "mailing list" in the subject line.
M FIVE BRAVO
The guy with the single large eye is called M FIVE BRAVO. He's a rogue military prototype recon robot/monster mix. Originally intended for recon missions on harsh alien planets, his large single eye is night vision capable, telescopic and also able to see thermal images. He can broadcast the images via the TV screen on his chest. He recently became self aware and has vowed to destroy Greasebat at any cost. Virtually indestructible due to his thick skin covered in armored bumps. His weakness is his bulging, ready to burst eyeball. His horns can retract to half their length, although the purpose for this is unknown.
Stee-Gar
The other hairy guy is Stee-Gar. He was originally developed from pollution eating microbes by research scientists Dr. Stephens and Dr. Henry "Hank" Garfield, hence the name. Demand for bigger pollution eating beasts lead to Stee-Gar. He also gained independent thought, left his government masters and now is on a mission to destroy Greasebat, who he sees as a giant walking ball of oily pollution. Stee-Gar can fly short distances on his stubby wings, like a chicken. His fur and thick armored scales allow him to operate in all environments.
