David Lanham's custom "Mr. Bubbles" Jouwe
Revealed today in the long line of customs for the upcoming Jouwe show at Toy Art Gallery on October 2nd, 2010 in Los Angeles is awesome illustrator David Lanham's "Mr.Bubbles" Jouwe. This custom uses a very familiar color pallet, at least to me, that David uses in alot of his illustration work... most prominently those luscious blues and greens! David also took the liberty to do a little sculpting as he gave his creature a nice strawberry pink tongue and a grill that spans from ear to ear... and check out those pearly whites, awesome :-)

Angry Woebots' Dunny teaser for "2tone" series
This is something that many fans have wanted for quite some time now... a Dunny from Angry Woebots, well Vinyl Pulse just confirmed that releasing in the upcoming new 2-Tone Dunny series from Kidrobot is going to be just that, a production Woebots Dunny! I am now wondering what Kidrobot's definition of 2-Tone means, as there are more than 2-Tones in this piece... either way, that's not a big deal, and congrats to Aaron for finally getting a piece of the pie!

Reactor-88's "Totem" Yoka vector turnarounds...
We saw the art for Motorbot's Yoka yesterday HERE and now today we are getting a look at the vector turnarounds of Reactor-88's "Totem" Yoka that is set to be released at this years NYCC 2010 via the MyPlasticHeart booth #2879 for $15 each. We have all come to recognize the work of Ryan Crippen, as he is known for his crisp clean lines, amazing symmetry, and great tribal patterns, and now we get to appreciate the work in an amazing production quality that adFunture is known for. Ryan would like to personally thank Eddi of adFunture because his Totem design was super hard to reproduce, and took a ton of pads to create all the artwork... I am just gonna go out on a limb and say it was worth it because the end product looks amazing, congrats Ryan!

Gizmo gets the MEGA treatment...
Artist Kristy Anne Ligones has been featured on here before where she tackled the 8" Dubai based platform MEGA figure... and well, she did it again on the same platform, as she created a really cool custom of Gizmo from Gremlins! She also added a surprise Lil' Gremlin or Mogwai in his bag... really great use of this platform and another stellar custom from Kristy!

Hint Mint Prints on Metal @ Fred Segal Melrose
[PRESS] Fred Segal Melrose (Ron Robinson) will now be carrying Hint Mint's signed and numbered 'Limited Edition Artist Series' prints on metal, featuring original art work by: James Jean, Gary Baseman, Shag, Owen Smith and Glenn Barr.
After ten years of printing original artwork on the face of their patented, curved mint tins, Hint Mint has taken the next step. The new 12” x 12” metal prints are exact reproductions of the original artwork found on the popular ‘Limited Edition Artist Series’ tins, and use the same material. All prints are individually signed and numbered, in editions of 100. This marks the first time that any of these highly sought after artists have had their work printed on metal, making this a truly unique collection.
Accompanying the prints is an exhibit chronicling the evolution of the Hint Mint Artist Series. The exhibit includes all of the original Artist Series tins, along with artist bios and a brief history of the companies partnership with each artist. Ron Robinson is located within the Fred Segal Melrose location, and the Hint Mint display is on view for a limited time only. All prints are available framed or unframed, individually or in sets of 3 (the full series for each artist). The prints are priced at $125.00 each.
