"Bad Genesis" custom Mr. Power from Cpassek

French designer Cpassek of Gangtoyz shares with us today his latest custom, and just like his previous completed pieces, this one just blows us away! This was his first custom on the Mr. power platform and he has titled this piece "Bad Genesis"... where I am not certain but it looks like he took the exact state of which Frank Castle transformed into the rad comic book character The Punisher! What a fantastic representation, and flawless execution. I love seeing customs from Cpassek as they are all top notch, more please :-)

Smash Tokyo Toys at Designer-Con?

With Designer-Con approaching what does Smash Tokyo Toys have for their SpankyStokes.com giveaways this time around? At SDCC we saw their whacky handmade SEISMIC CENTURION Magnets hand cast by Mattyboombatty and some of the kids he works with but this time Matty is upping the crazy factor with his 3" scale DIY kits that come blindbagged with various colored mini SEISMIC ACE heads. Shown are the unpainted, plastic and machined at factory heads. Awesome! These are the same heads in smaller scale that come with the exciting SEISMIC SALLY custom doll showing up around the web (bottom left). There are also rumors of a vinyl collab toy coming out between JPK and Smash Tokyo Toys in the near future which would be very interesting.

Even better each bag comes with a free Lego minifigure thrown in to put the heads on if you choose. Matty says "Look, the heads fit on just about anything 3" and under so you can booty up anything you want. Want to make Luke Skywalker into Luke SeismicWalker than pop one of these between his shoulders!" There'll be more SMASH TOKYO TOYS CUSTOM giveaways and more pics of the finished products as the Con gets closer.

Custom Munny "Possum" by Andrew R. Shondrick

Andrew R. Shondrick is an artist working out of Cleveland, OH. and has a very traditional background as an oil painter... but as of recently he is taking a stab at his first DIY figure and WOW is my initial reaction as I can't wait to see more! He did this for a Munny-themed show sponsored by Vivid Plastic Toys, in what they hope will be the first of an annual event.

Andrew really took his time on this piece, and it reflects as it is really out of the ordinary to see a Munny as a possum, let alone a custom hanging upside down. He also based this off an older painting he completed titled “An Awesome Possum Hung From the Moon Trying to Steal the Stars from the Sky.” and as you can see, the execution was spot on, and like I mentioned earlier, can't wait to see more customs from Andrew!

Mike Mendez aka Nemo sent over a really cool video showcasing his artist series card for the already released and HUGE hit Art Hustle series 1 trading card set. Buy a toy, get a free shirt...

Jesse Narens aka Ghost & Flower just sent over a little promotion he is doing where if you purchase a resin Mossback or custom from him, you will be able to get one of these for free. Just put which color and size you would like in the note section... but keep on mind sizes are extremely limited. Also you can purchase these for $10 in the shop if you don't feel like picking up a custom with it... but I would most definitely go for the first option :-) Jesse says that it was a tedious task to design this, as he actually cut open a bunch of apples and stole their seeds to lay out the letters... rad!
