We just got a rad photo from Trevor of
Acrylicsquid, where he is revealing to us today some submissions for the upcoming Munny show where 100% of the proceeds go to keep-a-breast.org. This show titled "
Milk Munny" is going to be held at Monorchid Gallery, and will go down on October 1st, 2010! Th picture above features 2 custom Munny's from artist Leathers2000 with his "Creep" (left), and "El Muerto" (center) designs, and the figure on the right titled "Nurvice" was created by Christopher Earl. Fantastic work guys... and I can't wait to see more submissions in the weeks to come!

Arist
TaskOne recently completed some resin figures he is calling "PHOTURIS MONSTERIS" or Lightning Bug Monster's if you will for
Super7's recent Toxic Catalyst Show. He says that he got the invite for the show 2 weeks before the opening so he had to put all his projects on hold to bang these little guys out! These little guys were created from a six piece mold with electronics... and they are actually pretty large... as these photos don't really show that they stand a good 3.5" tall. Great stuff like always dude!

Arts Unknown is a new, UK-based, art toy company founded by art enthusiasts Paul Delfgou & Daniel Kohn which has been in the works for some time now. The company will be launching with pieces from three of the biggest names in the industry:
Frank Kozik,
Doktor A, and
Gary Baseman... which we are getting looks at their submitted figures above for the very first time. From Frank we have
"William, Henry & Reginald" an unassuming duo of Elephant and Rhino as they set out to explore the ancient ruins of La-Er. Next up is
"Bella Delamere" by Doktor A
(This particular colorway being titled “The Casino Affair”) a discarded robot that was raised by a family of Kraken and then reintroduced into society! Last but not least "Slugilicious" by Gary Baseman where the sidewalk is his canvas. He is the Lewis and Clark of the Mucus Trails.... an interesting trio of characters to say the least, look for prototypes in the very near future.
In addition,
Arts Unknown will be starting up a membership program, with limited places offered on a first-come first-served basis... a pretty cool idea to get collectors involved! As for now they are staying pretty tight lipped on these projects, but for more details make sure that you visit their site HERE for up to date details and info regarding these releases!

Ask and ye shall receive... hot off the heels of my last post
OsirisOrion answers with a quickness as he sent over some stunning pictures of his custom Jouwe he is calling "OilSlick". This figure is really tough to work on... I have been struggling with mine for a month now :-) and Rob really did a fantastic job of keeping the original shape of this figure, yet having it SCREAM his style all over it. The colors are super impressive and extremely glossy and really do give off that "OilSlick" look and feel. Be sure to head on out to
TAG on October 1st, 2010 to see this piece as well as many others in person!
