*Recap* Dunny "2010" trading party at Gunnzo

The usual crowd came out to support the small vinyl shop hidden in the hills of Old Town San Diego as Chika the owner of Gunnzo opened her doors once again for another amazing event. Gunnzo always does it right and just like last time there was a great turnout from all walks of life, big and small, young and old... the vinyl community is super diverse but we all congregate together with a common vinyl bond... and this time it was the Dunny that brought us together.

The atmosphere seemed very electric this time around as everyone was really excited fr this series... and rightfully so, KR did a stellar job on these, no complaints were heard all night. The QC on these figures seemed really great, and ratio's seemed to be pretty good as we got to see almost every figure out there, even Kozik's "Golden Apple" variant which was pulled twice... the only one that was super elusive was Aya Kakeda's "Centaur" Dunny... oh well :-) I even gave away a nice little magnetized resin Dunny that Dodgrr, Nebulon5 and myself made, to one lucky attendee... there were even beverages on hand as well as FREE Ben & Jerry's ice-cream thanks once again to Ephraim of the Seaport Village location! All in all it was a fantastic time, and I hope you all had the same experience. Be sure to hit the jump for a photo slide show from the event!

Resin "Junior Spies" #4 from DMS

Artist DMS just released one of his new plaster resin "Junior Spies". This figure is is his #4 figure and just like his last release HERE these fall into the same vain of his custom resin "Duster" figures as these Junior Spies were created to figure out what continues to destroy them! This is a one off hand made resin plaster robots, with a weathered paint job, and looks pretty great and is set to release on Sunday, August 22nd via his online store HERE for only £6.99 + shipping.

Well... seeing as today is the launch of the very anticipated next Dunny mini-series from Kidrobot dubbed "2010", I took it upon myself to create an actual "Checklist of the figures for all you folks to click on and print out! This is basically the one KR provided but instead of the illustrations I replaced them with actual photos of the figures... where I also included the chase figures from both Aya Kakeda and Kozik's "Golden Apple" variant! Skratch Purple Claws from Erick Scarecrow

The teasers keep coming as Erick Scarecrow is hinting at yet another new character in development...and from what I can tell, and I am sure you can too, this is going to be a cat based character... simply based off the ears, mouse, fish bones, and yarn ball :-) But what else lurks around the corner... well, seeing as "Scratch Purple Claws" is set to drop next Friday, August 27, more will be revealed very shortly!

Updated pictures of Doktor A.'s G.N.O.M.E sculpt from RAJE Toys... now with details!

RAJE Toys just posted up some new pictures of their upcoming G.N.O.M.E figure release which is being designed by Doktor A. - and this time around we get to see all the little added details! Last time the sculpt was coming together, but we did not see nearly the amount of fine detailings until now! I am guessing that they will have the prototype done by NYCC, or even further along because the first version is set to release just a month after NYCC during Designer-Con! *UPDATE* This is expected to release in September! Re:Mind's "EMPTY" army of plush continues to grow!

You may remember the amazing plush works of Matt Riley aka Re:Mind posted HERE a while back... well now he has continued to add many new characters to his already growing lineup under his Re:Mind Studio company. These characters he is calling the "EMPTY's" is now over 50 strong, and all stand a whopping 8" tall and have bendable arms/legs/fingers/tongues... and are seriously some of the best looking plush figures out on the market today! Aya Kakeda's Dunny 2010 "Centaur" revealed

Well seeing as it's Thursday, August 19th pretty much everywhere in the world right now, pictures have been popping up of people's pulls for Kidrobot's new Dunny series 2010... and the folks over at Rotofugi posted up one picture that caught my attention... the extremely rare 1/400 Dunny "Centaur" chase designed by Aya Kakeda! this unique design is super cool, and is neat to see in this already stellar series. i had one question when I first spotted this figure though... how the heck does it fit in the box, well thanks to good ol' ebay($400 already), I ripped this picture to the left and you can see that the back half attaches... pretty cool engineering! Best of luck to all those out there trying to snag this one up, and have fun at all of your trading parties... oh and I will see you at Gunnzo!

Hugh Rose's "Monkey Magic" custom Munny

Artist Hugh Rose continues to amaze all that lay eyes on his customs as he has created yet another fantastic custom Munny based on his previous award winning Munny called "The Wooden Sky Monkey". This figure, titled "Monkey Magic", based on and looking similar to the last custom has some very distinct differences... the most notable feature to me is that the new 7" Munny has alot more blue sky showing, but the rad woodwork still remains! Teaser of Jose Reynoso's "Robull-287" Munny

We just received a very cryptic image from artist Jose Reynoso of a custom Munny that is being worked on for the Milk Munny custom show. Jose says that this robotic creation is titled the "Robull-287"... needless to say I am very intrigued to see what the rest of this looks like!
