"Boom" Dunny by SketOne
Sket-One just revealed his "Boom" Dunny design for the upcoming 2010 series which is set to release tomorrow, Thursday August 19th worldwide. This design take the classic Dunn shape and ads a little twist to the ears giving them an exploded effect... pretty cool how KR keeps on pushing the slight variations on the Dunny design. This figure is 1 of 4 designs by Sket in this series and is easily accessible at a 1/25 ratio... so every case should have at least one!

Ferg's "Playge Rat" PLAYGE edition
Ferg just released images and info via the C&D forum of his upcoming "Playge Rat" PLAYGE edition! This fantastic looking character has been a long time in the works and is set to drop HERE on August 23 at 12:00 noon CST. This just like the OG version comes with a rad looking SPAS shotgun with collapsible stock and Italian Stiletto and Bandolier, and from what I can gather 2 sets of hands, a 3-piece suit... not to mention that cool push button action tongue, all wrapped up in the classic green/black PLAYGE colorway! This version is set to retail for $140, and will most likely include shipping!

"La Muerte Negro" custom by Huck Gee
Huck Gee just released one of his very revealing newsletters, and in it was an awesome new custom figure titled "La Muerte Negro" and as seen from his last release this figure seems to be the bad/dark counterpart of his "Los Angeles De La Muerte" custom that was released last month! This is a custom Munny, fully equiped with body armor, a giant futuristic spear type weapon, and a great amount of detail that we have all come to expect from his series of customs. This, just like the majority of his releases, was created as a 10 figure set, and each one will retail for $800 per figure.
La Muerte Negro background story:
"On Naoya 13 there are many whispered tales of people disappearing in the night. Sometimes, they are tales of revolt, of dissidents and rival political parties. Sometimes they are tales of justice in the underground: of pit fighting organizers, of gang lords, or of corrupt police. Sometimes they are just tales indeed... People may never know the answers they seek but when darkness descends, when evil things happen and they leave not a trace, they blame La Muerte Negro.
Officially, La Muerte Negro does not exist. The Taurenos royal family denies their existence. There is no La Muerte Negro. But the people know better. They were told the tales as children, to keep their lives straight. The tales evolving as they grew older, no longer just myth. Everybody knows someone that knew somebody that disappeared. The people know what darkness patrols the city when the sun sets... the people know..."

“The Drummer” Custom Dunny from The Given
SS.com reader and first time vinyl customizer Abe from The Given Collective has just sent over info and images of his very first 3" custom Dunny titled "The Drummer" and at first glance I was like "Not to shabby for a first attempt"! I recall my first attempt at a 3" Dunny, and the challenges I faced with such a small platform so I can totally appreciated the time and effort put forth into creating this! Great job man, and I look forward to your next figure!

Rsin's customs galore...
Rsin just passed along a whole grip of new photos of a few custom projects that he recently just finished! First up is the awesome "Kidrobot" mascot custom that he did for a member of the Kidrobot message boards, which features the awesome cool/warm color pallet that we have come to grow fond of in Rsin's figures. Next up is the amazingly massive custom "Coarsetoys" Jaws figure, which was his first attempt at one of these, and already has plans for another one very soon. I love the additional details around the belt area and the tiny bones on the arms... some serious nice touches! Last but not least is a look at some 3" Dunnys that he will release in the next few weeks, to coincide with his custom giveaway for the King of the Boards on Kidrobot's Kronikle... which is a huge honor, and congrats dude! He says that the 8" version for the giveaway is almost the same as the 3"ers above. The 3" versions will be released Aug 27th on the KR boards, and if anyone is interested before hand you can e-mail Rsin at Rsinart@msn.com. Every one of these customs are top notch, and it's awesome to see Rsin continue elevate his game... keep em' coming man!

"Deffy" figure from Blobpus x Takekuma Kentaro
Lulu Bell Toy Bodega keeps the Eastern kaiju good coming as the are proud to introduce a new sculpt called "Deffy" by Blobpus x Takekuma Kentaro. This figure stands 5" tall and both the GID Silver and Black are up for pre-order right now for $50 each. Amy from Lulubell's goes on to say that "Kentaro is one of the original Manga artists in Kyoto, and he designed this figure to celebrate his 50th birthday!" How awesome is that... I bet he was like - Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, now to design a creepy rabbit - hahaha. "Deffy" kinda reminds me of the raving rabbids figures, but on mutated steroids, oh and how cool is that outie belly button!!!!
