Daniel Danger solo exhibit "They Will Take It Back" and art toy release at G1988 LA 08/5/2010

Gallery1988 Los Angeles is playing host to an awesome solo show featuring the works of Daniel Danger. "They Will Take It Back" will showcase both originals and limited editions, of his unbelievable line-driven art pieces... and a few surprises! This is going to open on Thursday August 5th, and will run until the 27th, where Daniel will be on hand on August 5th from 7-10pm for the opening reception!

Also just announced is a special collab with Daniel Danger and Gallery1988 to release Danger's first full-scale art toy, based on Daniel's image above. They are really stressing the fact that what you're seeing is an early example of the sculpt, and that the final piece is going to blow people away... I can't wait! This is going to be a SUPER limited release and is a hand-crafted piece produced by Julie B. over at Pretty In Plastic. The toy will be first available at this opening and each toy will also come with a very limited, hand embellished print.

Custom 8" MEGA "G.E.R.M - MOBOT"

Mo Abedin just sent over some great shots of his latest custom MEGA figure titled "G.E.R.M - MOBOT", which comes to us as an abandoned prototype of the large corporation G.E.R.M (Genetically Enhanced Robotics Manufacturer). This MOBOT otherwise called GERM by others just by the stamp on its chest was deemed faulty and was committed to the junkyard because it used to question and disobey orders. The truth is that, GERM is the greatest undiscovered creation. A robot born with a soul. I am enjoying customs on this platform, and from what I have seen they seem very promising!

Ryon Xavier Smith's "Detroit Devil" with paint...

Ryon Xavier Smith just passed over some awesome news about his "DETROIT DEVIL" sculpt/figure. From the last time we saw this HERE, the figure was just mocked up in color samples via illustration, and now we get a look at how these will look in full production mode! Ryon says that unlike the pictures above where the clothing is shiny, the factory versions will be matte paint with a shiny face! He also notes that the colors ways will include 300 pieces world wide 140 black the other colors will divided... so they will be pretty limited! These are set to drop during a show on October 30, but if that can't be worked out look for them to premiere at Designer Con in November.
