FAS custom "Venom" 3A Bertie

Alex aka FAS has been an awesome presence in the vinyl toy world, primarily on the KR boards, and time and time again he continues to impress everyone with with his fantastic customs... case in point, his latest custom on a 3A Bertie figure which he transformed into one of his favorite characters "Venom". Alex says "After seeing the small hole on the top of the Bertie, I instantly thought Venom, and knew where to apply his tongue for a Venom takeover." This piece, although unassuming, I would have never thought in a million years to turn a Bertie into Venom, but it turned out great, and if this catches your eye as well it's up for grabs... just hit up FAS via fas718@yahoo.com for info on this piece! For more pics visit his Flickr HERE!

There is no word on a release date, price or exact color but we can chew on the above image until more info is leaked!

Custom "General Zoo" by NSTNATE

Just got a nice email from artist Nate aka NSTNATE where he showed off a really great looking custom General Zoo figure... which might be the very first custom General Zoo. He decided not to disturb the amazing figure by sculpting on it, rather he added to its splendor by giving him a shiny new paint job. Nate says "The first layer consisted of silver and gold, where silver was shot from the top and gold from the bottom, using the ridges in the sculpt. Next, scar and damage marks were applied along with Candy Apple Red sprayed all over then followed up with three coats of clear." The opposite side followed pretty much the same procedure, and the end result is one cool looking custom that comes with a hand painted box. This is up for grabs, retailing for $260 plus shipping and if interested hit up Nate via nate.held@gmail.com! For more picture hit his photo album HERE!

"Sky Observer" (Burnt Orange) custom 3" Dunny hybrid from Cris Rose

Cris Rose just dropped word on his latest resin/vinyl mashup which falls in line with his other Observation Drone creations... except this custom has a nice set of glider wings titled "Sky Observer" (Burnt Orange) which is painted in such a manner to operate in desert/scrub regions! This version of custom hybrid characters is going to be limited to only 3 pieces, the first piece is the above custom 3" Dunny, with the second part of this being revealed tomorrow. Stay sharp folks because these are set to drop on Thursday at 18:00 London time and the pieces will be available seperately, but a discount will be refunded to those purchasing a set. I look forward to seeing what tomorrow brings...

"Sky Observer" (Burnt Orange) backstory:
"One of the myriad of upgrades available for the Observation Drones and Clear Vision was the "Sky High" package. For a nominal fee, a lightweight but exceptionally powerful booster/glider package could be attached to a standard unit to enable a better view at short notice. Given their inherent lack of aerodynamics, flights of extended duration and control were nothing more than wishful thinking - but if the subject being studied was one prone to unpredictable skyward vectors, limited fly ...aaaaand glide capability could make all the difference.

All later units were flown remotely, but early units were fully autonomous and launched themselves, at their own discretion, depending on the subject they were observing - but it soon became apparently that their flight patterns were erratic at best and downright unpredictable most of the time. Studies by the Epoch Foundation conclusively proved that even with their exceptionally limited AI, they too were suffering from fractured programming that could only be explained, in this case, as... boredom? It was concluded that only reason the ground-based units had never developed this mutation was that they never had their metaphorical finger on the trigger of 10,000lbs of thrust."

The story of Ichigo Mama Panya and Berry Shroom:
"Ichigo Mama-Panya is a baker that makes colorful Shiitake Shroom cakes for a living. One day she found a large strawberry on the sidewalk that fell from a tree in front of a wizard's home. She picked it up and hurried back to her bakery to decorate her famous Berry Shroom cake with it. The cake came alive and told her that what she did was unclean and dirty. Ichigo slapped the ungrateful cake and was about to discard him until he begged her not to. Ichigo thought long and hard about the Berry Shroom's fate until she decided that she could use an extra hand in her bakery.

The Berry Shroom was relieved and got to work immediately. They bonded and shared many secrets. When the Berry Shroom knocked over a jar of flour he sneezed repeatedly. This made his colors change. Ichigo was in shock when she realized her outfit colors changed as well."

Matt from Smash Tokyo Toys is asking for a lil help with a huge issue... so take a minute, read the blurb below and if you wanna donate you can paypal some funds to boomboomblammo@hotmail.com make sure you put "SENSEI WHEELCHAIR FUND" for the subject of the money transfer!

"Hey everyone, It's Mattyboombatty from Smash Tokyo Toys. This is my man Sensei. He is 11 years old and is in DIRE NEED of a new wheelchair as the one in this pic has wheels like a bad shopping trolley. Sensei has had numerous operations in the last years and is about to have another. Due to his crapped-up, nasty-ass wheelchair he is often unable to attend school and can't mobilise around the neighbourhood. The system promised him a new chair three years ago and it's still a no-show. Smash Tokyo Toys is looking to work with some artists to develop an art print (s) that we can sell to raise money to get this awesome, tough little guy a new chair (and give a one-finger salute to THE MAN in the system who keeps him down by not giving him a new one!)
