O-No Sushi "DIY" from Andrew Bell

Great googly moogly, who would have ever thunk it that we would see Andrew Bell's awesome O-No Sushi figure as a DIY... well the cat was let outta the bag about two weeks ago when artist DrilOne completed a custom sushi, and Andrew commented via twitter "Nice! Good time to mention DIY coming soon :)", and look what we have here! Now, if I were just getting into the whole designer vinyl thing, old me would say "Why would you want this as a DIY" as it seems uncustomizable, but as I have seen from artists, these types of figures make some of the best customs, so I am super pumped to see how this takes off, and can't wait to tackle on myself.

The standard edition includes the figure with articulated arms, legs and replaceable eyes, a second set of eyes, 1 piece sushi and 1 bowl of tentacles, which will allow for many many variations on a custom. It also includes the "take-out tray" packaging with usable sticker tray liner. The sushi figure stands is approximately 3 ¼" tall, what a cute little fellow and these are retailing for $22 a pop, and should be available at all vinyl retailers. Now if we can only convince Andrew to do a DIY Sushi show *cough cough* invite me *cough cough* :-)

Zam's custom Tattooed "Marked Munny" #6 & #7

Well... what more is there to say than WOW, this has definitely been a treat for me to be able not only to share these amazing customs from Zam over the past week, but to also partake in viewing the art myself, this whole series of "Marked Munny's" has been awesome, and today we are left with the final two in the series! The larger figure’s theme is Kintaro who is seen riding a koi fish upstream with maple leaves; This scene represent the passing of time and a boy’s journey into manhood. The smaller figure’s theme is a darker one with skulls and snakes which are often symbolic of death and the Hannya represents jealousy and anger. To view the other fantastic custom Munny's in this series click HERE, also be on the lookout for more rad custom from Zam in the near future, he has a ton of stuff in the works!

3A retailer exclusives update

So 3A Berties are now shipping out to retailers nationwide. Chances are that by the time your reading this many of them will have their stock in hand and will be in the process of filling orders. Many other places who I've had the pleasure of speaking with had the forethought to order more Berties and hold onto them to release soon. I for one would like to thank them for this as it's always a gamble to hold onto product when it could be up for sale. Why would they do this? Well it's not secret that 3A toys are popular and many of these stores have heard from their customers a desire to purchase products long after they have sold out. After hearing peoples requests a few of these stores decided to help out.

This weekend saw the arrival of Berties at Happy Panda Toys and they were quickly sold out. Demand is pretty high right now so if your still looking here's a few places that will have stock coming available soon. Ningyoushi should have stock on Monday in their store, Rotofugi should have stock up soon as well. And for those customers who have been emailing Tenacious Toys or bought stuff from them keep an eye out, as they are looking to fill orders as well. I just want to thank these places for their foresight to order more of these great toys and to put them up at their regular prices.

So if your looking for these toys please check these store out and by all means support them as they are supporting you.

Now for news of Retailer Exclusives, the 3 Berties pictured above will not be available at this time as they did not ship out with regular retail orders however they will be shipping out in the coming weeks Look here for more updates as too when and where as details will be released...

Megaloceros Mossback...

Species: Megaloceros Mossback
Alternate name: Mossback
Habitat: Dense, damp forests of the Pacific Northwest. Can be found living in burrows made in dense patches of moss.
Description: The Mossback is primarily nocturnal, but is especially active at dusk and dawn. The Mossback moves across the forest floor quickly and almost silently. The Mossback feeds on many kinds of plants, but is primarily nourished through photosynthesis while sleeping through the day. While the Mossback appears to be a mammal, it also has many plant-like characteristics that make it hard to categorize. It is unclear how many are in existence today because the Mossback is a very shy and private creature that is rarely seen by the human eye.

Stay tuned for further updates...
