Zam's next custom "Marked Munny"... feast your eyes on #5 as this custom sports some great “sailor tattoos”. In this traditional art form these designs were simple, had bold lines and vivid color. Many sailors collected tattoos as souvenirs from their travels around the world. Many of these tattoos were used as talismans to protect sailors from the woes of the sea. Today many of these designs have become stapes in the tattoo world. We owe most of these designs to the grandfather of the “traditional tattoo”, Sailor Jerry Collins from Honolulu, who left his mark on boat loads of military men.
