Camilla d'Errico has had a long time since her solo show at Copro Nason Gallery, in fact it's been almost 2 years, and now she is gearing up for her first European solo show titled, “Il Codice d’Errico” at Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, Rome, opening June 5th. This new body of work is going to feature 12 new paintings, and she states that these "are unlike anything I’ve ever created before".
We get to see Camilla's famous "Helmetgirls" inspired by her own interests in love, fantasy, emotions and decisions, and as she goes on to describe that "Many of these paintings are based on personal triumphs and setbacks. Though subtle, I wanted to use visual themes to reveal secrets and hold up mirrors to others and myself. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and present myself in black and white, shedding the richness of a color palette and replacing it with a stark and naked face of line work and detail." This is going to be a fantastic showing of Camilla's work and if the 4 above paintings are a taste of things to come... I deffinitly want to see more! If these or any other works for this sow spark an interest please contact: Mondo Bizzarro, Luisa Montalto, +39-06-44247451, info@mondobizzarrogallery.com.
