Exclusive pics of Keith Poon's 5" Sharky

Check out the exclusive picture that Keith Poon sent over of his latest figure design in his "Sharky" family! This 5" Sharky has all the characteristics that we have grown very fond of in the previous versions such as the pronounced gill slits, fins for arms... but one thing I do notice, and not sure if it is just the angle of the photograph, or because the figure above is a prototype, but there is no open mouth. Also, this Sharky has put on some extra lbs if ya know what I mean, an extra pudgy Sharky, but loving the character that the bulbous shape brings. Keith says that the 5" Sharky is is the younger sibling to the 8" Sharky... and that there are some accessories that will be included with this version! More pics and info very soon, who else is looking forward to this one?

Frank Koziks' "Dead Che" bust for SDCC 2010

Previously posted HERE and extremely well received was Frank Kozik's latest and greatest large bust sculptures dubbed "Dead Che". Now... revealed just recently from Frank's Facebook page is the all white, 16" tall, seemingly primed bust, showing some Latin lettering that Frank describes as saying "In life the proud commander and now in death he is nothing/cast low." This amazingly detailed piece of work was brought to life by super talented Brin Berliner, and it will most likely see the light of day at SDCC 2010 in it's first colorway being the day-glow orange we are very familiar with :-)

"Godot" from Sergey Safonov

We have seen previous works from Sergey Safonov in the past, and now he springs this crazy looking character on us! "Godot" a large bird like creature was created by Sergey after being inspired by Samuel Beckett’s play "Waiting for Godot"... Sergey states that this play focuses on "two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait for someone named Godot who never shows in and who's identity remain mystery." This figure although in the picture seems very large is only 4.5" tall and comes with that rad fedora, and a comic book and a guide how to wear it properly... oh and the hat is removable btw :-). This will be produced in resin by Sergey, and above is just a prototype that was created with the help of the kind folks over at Crazylabel. Sergey is hoping for a late May 2010 release so be on the lookout for these very soon!

The making of Dangerous Chicken

Above is a very entertaining video from Polish artist Starfil as he takes us through the beginnings of the making of his soon to be resin figure "Dangerous Chicken" which is based upon a comic book character that Starfil created! "DC" is set to be released June of 2010, and as you can see from the pictures DC is going to have some serious attitude... I love how a character can stand out on his own, and I really believe DC does this, really diggin the classic cartoony vibe i am getting from this character as well!
