Work-in-progress of MINDstyle's Manny Pacquiao
Remember our post HERE about how much MINDstyle likes Pacquiao , and how they are making an "Art Toy Collectible (ATC)" outta him... well they have taken the next step and as you can see from above the Manny Pacquiao prototype has been brought to life! The sculpt is super great, I love the stylized blockiness of hair, face, chin... I mean the figure looks really dope all around, but really who is going to purchase this other then every Filipino out there... no word on pricing or even a release date, but I am sure that will follow soon.

"Octopaulimski Hammerfish" from Scribe & Alisa Ross for the KC "Hustle 2" on 5/7/2010
Donald "Scribe" Ross just sent over some awesome pictures and info of a rad custom Munny that he did with his equally talented wife Alisa, where he did the painting and she did the stitching... I think we need to start referring to these two as the "Dynamic Duo" :-) maybe not, hahah. This fantastic looking beats titled "Octopaulimski Hammerfish" was completed for the KC "Hustle 2" show going down in KC On Friday, May 7th, 2010 and not only does it feature works from these two talented artists but from a whole slew of talented KC peeps including Nathan Fox, Jeremy Madl, Sike Style, Zachary Trover, Brian "Bullets" Horton, Luke Firle, Corey Goering, Matthew Hawkins, Lucid, and Trenton Matthews. This show is going to be a doozie with custom vinyl, paintings, and other misc artsy stuff so stay tuned for more updates as they roll in!

David Flores does Donald Duck?
David Flores posted up another new image for an upcoming project... not sure who this is through as he has been working with both BIC Plastics and Kidrobot to produce figures as of late, my money is on BIC... for the very reason that this looks very similar to his SketchArtis figure... but what I can tell is that this does appear to be David's interpretation of Donald Duck, and by knowing David's past figures and influences, it's a safe bet! From the looks of it, this figure seems to be pretty large... stay tuned for further developments!

Brian Morris laser engraved Yo-Yo's
Based on the recent success of the Steve Brown Gallery's last limited edition artist Yo-Yo... he ran with it and got Brian Morris on board to create his version of the very familiar looking Brian Morris style skull, laser engraved into a nice maple blank from YoYo Factory. I said it once before, and I will say it again... these are DOPE. Also to note, as an added bonus Brian has selected a number between 1 - 30, and whichever order is received on that number will receive the original art, valued at approximately $150 USD. So at only 30pcs made, and retailing for only $20, these are available on April 29th and I have a feeling that they are going to move fast, so mark your calendars!

"Floxy" blind-box series update
When we first saw pictures of Patch Together's upcoming blind-box release HERE on their new, upcoming "Floxy" figure designed by SOMA, we were quite impressed and now after a few months in the hopper we now have some pictures to show how the process is coming along! These vinyl figures above have been interpreted by artists such as DUST, Stick-A-Thing, Bunka, Saprophilous, Missmonster, Okkle, Flim and VISEone. These are set to drop sometime hopefully before July, and will have a price point at around the $10 mark, not fully confirmed yet. Hopefully some of the other designs will be up for us soon to take a gander. So tell me this, in a market flooded with mini-figures/blind boxes will Floxy have the moxy to thrive or are we going to see the Floxy flop, I guess time will tell what the future holds for Patch Together's first venture in the blind box arena, I do however hope for the best.
