This website is about any and everything that sparks the creative genius in all of us. By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and enjoy all aspects of design. From traditional to urban from resin to vinyl, these are all great mediums and deserve to be explored. On top of that everything from music to movies from guns to graffiti.
By chance Pretty Poopie and I (ADDEccentric) were vacationing in Manila at just the right time to catch the Robotars 1st Custom Show. Jomike Tejido has created a very cool platform that he calls "Robotars", which is short for Robotic Tarsier.
The piece is currently being produced in resin, and so far have only been given out to artists to customize. He will be releasing a blind box series of hand painted Robotars in the near future. There will be around 11 chase pieces that will be customs painted by some of the of the artists that participated in the show, and the other 89 or so will be individually painted by Jomike himself with the original Robotars design.
Spencer and Stephen Ong of Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica were on hand to assist with the judging of the design contest that was opened up to anyone that decided to pass by. A poster with multiple blank Robotars front views was put up and people were invited to take a crack at creating their own Robotars design...
The event also showcased Jomike's upcoming Robotars flash game which was available to try. If you have a moment to kill, and the boss isn't around give it a try. The customs showcased fantastic work by very talented people from here in the Philippines. A portion of the customs sales were being donated to the Haribon Foundation, they're a nature conservation group that work to protect various species including the Tarsier.
Jomike was also displaying a series of paintings that explain the origins of the Robotars and the Sitsiryums. For more updates on Robotars make sure to follow @robotars on twitter.
Joshua Herbolsheimer's first solo art show is going down this weekend on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at Super7 and this show is titled "Weirdearth"... what a perfect name! This show is going to feature all kinds of new works from Josh as well as a new edition to the Rose Vampire family... "Outerspaced" edition, which appears to be a clear vinyl touched up with blue/silver paints and fused with glitter inside! Be sure to go out and support Josh and the guys over at Super7, cuz they're good peeps.

Monster Workshop just released their latest plush/vinyl hybrid, and it's different than their other releases in fact "Ikem" and "Izzie" are conjoined Monster twins, and they are looking for a new home! The creators say "Ikem and Izziel were first spotted rummaging through boxes behind a high street shoe shop. Joined at the hip, it was thought that rounding up the pair would be a synch, but it took over a week of trying to make the capture. They were only snared when one of the shop workers used chocolate buttons to bait a humane trap." This gigantic creature measures 9"x 24" and retails for around $80! Eric Nakamura & Saelee Oh discuss their paper art animated video art piece that is currently featured in Scion's Installation 6: Video national art tour. They give great insight into how they painstakingly created their short - lots of freestyle scissor work, late nights, complaining and fun! [PRESS]Elite Gudz artist and designer, Phetus, made an appearance at East West Worldwide’s 10 Deep / Timberland Mighty Duckboot release and grand opening in Huntington, Long Island for a live painting exhibition. Phetus broke out the spray paint and canvas for the hometown crowd as DJ’s spun records and barbecue was served. The live painting attracted spectators from the entire neighborhood drawing in some new fans in a town which already has its fair share of Phetus fanatics.
This 8" Custom MonQee of ZAMBOT was done for SMASH TOKYO TOYS by FRIED GOLD PRODUCTIONS artist IRULAN. SMASH TOKYO TOYS designer Mattyboombatty says "he gets all his customs done through Fried Gold and hopes to get a Toyer done of Voltes V or Getter Poseidon in the near future." This Zambot looks amazing and was done in the 'animated' style as requested. IRULAN is also one of the artists featured in the Custom Toy Union's upcoming Custom Dunny Blind Box Series.
