=27:fool's General Zoo "Part 2: Origins"
I know you remember our post not to long ago HERE about =27:fool's and Fool’s Paradise General Zoo figure... now the second version of this fantastic creation is up for pre-order! General Zoo "Part2: Origins" features a full sized 9" polystone body half in an awesome looking yellow armored suit, while the other half is pure milky white skin! These two parts are connected piece-by-piece with magnets... making them interchangeable with the previous versions, and just like that previous version, this is also limited to 270 pieces and retails for only $120! I am still standing firm on my thoughts of this figure... it's smokin hot and I feel is very overlooked in the designer toy world... and I am sayin this without actually seeing one in person! If you are interested in picking up this piece email them at 27fools@gmail.com and expect this to ship around June/July!

Jesse Hernandez's "Mictlan" gets the wax treatment
We first saw the control art for Jesse Hernandez's new toy titled “MICTLAN” HERE and then the proto showed up at Wonder-Con HERE, and now Kuso Vinyl has just posted up some interesting shots of the wax figure, the final step before vinyl molding, and even though we may never see an all gold version of this figure... they might want to seriously consider this because it looks DOPE, straight outta Indiana Jones! The small detailings really pop on the pictures above and the full painted figure is going to be one of the hottest figures in 2010! “MICTLAN” which represents “Mictlantecuhtli” the Aztec God of the DEAD will be approximately 6" tall, and will come with a skull staff accessory... keep your eyes peeled for a possible drop in July... maybe at SDCC 2010?

Ice Cream Micci "French Vanilla" from ESC Toys
Erick Scarecrow is about to drop another one of his 6" hand-painted resin figures this time it's looking like you will have to have a sweet tooth to really appreciate it, seeing as it's "2 Scoops of French Vanilla" Micci! This just like the rest of his releases will be signed/numbered by the artist and comes sealed in a special box. There is no official word on the run number, but if it's anything like his other releases it will probably be limited to 25pcs. worldwide, and appears to have an exclusive print included... look for more info to drop very soon!

WuzOne's custom "Wolverine" Paw figure!
WuzOne completed a new custom a few weeks back, and unfortunately I have been so swamped with emails I have not seen this until now! This is a custom Paw figure from Coarse Toys that Wuz turned into Wolverine... and what an amazing job! This figure is 100% hand-painted using spray paint, markers and acrylics paint, and do note that the claws are real metal pieces, 100% hand-made as well. For more pictures hit up his Flickr site HERE, that being said... what can't Wuz turn into a comic book/cartoon character, this has yet to be determined!

Avatar666's "Drácula" Dr. Destruction custom...
Avatar666 passed over another great looking custom based on once again another Muttpop platform, this time in the form of Dr. Destruction. He says that this is based off Gary Oldman´s Drácula character from the Movie "DRACULA love never dies" produced by F.F. Coppola. now this is not my fav custom from him, but still gotaa give mad props for the amount of time and effort put into each and every one of his customs! If you would like to see more, and he has a ton more great customs, hit up his Flickr HERE!

First look at Dunny Series 2010...
Well... since the cat is outta the bag, might as well share it with the rest of ya. Mexican based toy blog site Vinyles Chiles has posted up the artist roster with images for the upcoming Kidrobot Dunny series dubbed "2010", and as you can see there are some pretty amazing designs in this series. The set is going to feature newish designs from: Esther Kim, Travis Cain, Sket One x2, CW, Huck Gee, Damarak the Destroyer, Sneaky Raccoon, Shelterbank, Tizieu, Jesse Hernandez, Michelle Valiguera, The Beast Brothers, MAD, Amanda Visell, MCA, Doktor A., Triclops Studio, Frank Kozik, and Aya Kakeda! Some of these designs we have seen before based on custom pieces by the above stated artists, and if KR can pull this off in a smaller/production run size then this might be an epic series!
I especially like Sket's "Ketchup", Travis Cain's "Balloon Head", Jesse Hernandez's "Bat God", Triclops "Zombie", and Esther Kim's "Ice Cream"... not to downplay any other designs :-) One thing I do notice is that there are a ton of talented artists out there that deserve a spot in a Dunny series, and yet once again we are seeing some of the same designers. I know it is not up to the artist at all, and congrats to them, KR makes all of the decissions, so come on guys, 2 Sket's and 2 Koziks... I am sure you could have found 2 new designers out there to take up 2 spots. All of that being said, I am pretty excited to follow this series, and can't wait to see some of these designs in person! Ahhh Dunny... the gateway drug that started it all for me, and your looking pretty good in 2010!

"Adventures in Lollipopland" solo show from Buff Monster @ Giant Robot New York
Buff Monster is heading out east for an awesome solo show going down at Giant Robot New York titled "Adventures in Lollipopland"... where Buff Monster is celebrating "the duality of cute and ice-cream-inspired traditional imagery, along with heavy-metal-inspired darker imagery." Just like the majority of Buff's pieces some will be light hearted and fun, and others will have a hardened metal feel.
GRNY has hosted Buff before, but unlike his last show that featured kaiju-inspired characters he is promising something different for all his fans including: 3 - 16" x 16" paintings, 30 - 10" x 10" wood panels, and some small, fun 7" x 7" pieces, as well as custom toys. Head on out for this one folks, Buff's work in person is truly mind bending... and even if you don't plan on buying anything go to support Buff as he always has stories to tell and has a laugh that is infectious.
