Full reveal of Dynomight NYC's "Our Hero, APPRENTICE!" resin figure

Posted HERE earlier last month we did some coverage of Dynomight NYC's latest, and greatest project titled "Our Hero, APPRENTICE!"... now before we had not actually seen the full frontal of this figure (I feel dirty saying that)but the time has come and now we get to see this piece in all its glory! This resin figure stands at approximately 6" tall and will be hand painted by J-ROO of Dynomight NYC! The APPRENTICE pieces were manufactured and sculpted by the very talented Julie B from Pretty in Plastic, who not only is a sweetheart, but is super gifted at what she does... and you can find many more great photos up on her Flickr site HERE!

Stay tuned for more information about the APPRENTICE and his ever expansive universe closer to the release date... but until them you can follow the guys, and even APPRENTICE on twitter... awesome! Follow Dynomight NYC on Twitter: @jroo76 and @citrusmaximus, follow APPRENTICE on Twitter: @heroapprentice.

Banksy's Exit Through The Gift Shop (Exclusive 5 min Extended Sneak Peek)

Exit Through the Gift Shop, the first film by renowned graffiti artist Banksy, became the hottest ticket at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival where it made its world debut. Banksy is a graffiti artist with a global reputation whose work can be seen on walls from post—hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. Fiercely guarding his anonymity to avoid prosecution, Banksy has so far resisted all attempts to be captured on film. Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results. The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader and many of the worlds most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. As Banksy describes it, Its basically the story of how one man set out to film the un—filmable. And failed...

Brent Nolasco's "Fevers and Translucent Dreams" custom vinyl mashup...

Brent Nolasco just passed over his last preview for his upcoming "5 Eyed Dragon" group show happening this weekend at Dragatomi... and this has got to be my favorite piece thus far. Brent says that "The concept behind this custom was to make a fusion of a couple of my favorite vinyl toys. A lot of the pieces where leftovers from other toys pieces that I didn't use for customs." And as you can see there is some pieces in there not only from Nolasco, but also from Pardee, Craola, and Coop! Brent goes on to say that "I also ended up using one of my Gordo resin figures from Myplasticheart. The custom changed a couple of times as it was being made. At one point, the custom got too complex and I decided to simplify it so that the other platforms would not be so obscure, and just compliment each other." IMHO I am glad that this "simplification" happened because the figure flows so well together... very seamless indeed, and I am pumped I get to see this piece as well as others in person!
