MINDstyle loves Manny Pacquiao...
They love him enough to make him into a figure... pretty wild... not quite sure what to think of this, but I am Pacquiao fan so it will be an interesting figure to follow through the development stages. MINDstyle recently went on a posting rampage on their blog with a whole slew of posts promoting the famous boxer, and now they have revealed a new figure of the only boxer in history to win seven world titles. The Manny Pacquiao prototype above is going to be a vinyl figure... or if your MINDstyle an "Art Toy Collectible (ATC)" which are going to be produced in a limited edition of products being made available at Team Pacquiao shops. No word on pricing or even a release date, but I am sure that will follow soon.

Shawnimals plush "Chicago Dog"... Delicious!!!!!
Hailing from Chicago, Shawn Smith of Shawnimals along with the rest of the elitist hot dog eating crowd, has created an adorably delicious exclusive for the upcoming Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo in Chicago... that is going to be a hit, no doubt! The Chicago Dog is a limited edition, handmade plush that comes with all of the appropriate Chicago Hot Dog felt fixings! For those non-Chicagoans out there, the toppings are quite specific: A hot dog of course, mustard, onions, neon green relish, sport peppers, tomato slices, and a pickle, all on a poppy seed bun, let's not forget the celery salt. That's it. No ketchup, no cheese, no fancy. This delicious looking figure is 6" tall, and comes as you see him on the left... in a clear poly-bag with printed topper laying on his bun, Shawnimals will have 100 dogs on hand at the show, available directly from their booth for $25 each.Source [Shawnimals]

Ray "Three" Robinson of GOLD COIN has just released announced that they will be making their first VINYL toy... and for this venture they have teamed up with the Bay Area's legendary hip-hop crew Hieroglyphics to create a little mascot that reflects both brands... gotta love that cross promotional advertising, and what a unique looking figure/platform to do it on! This piece is going to be over 7" tall with an articulated head, showcasing both sides. There is no set release date or price but stay tuned as that info will be dropped soon!

Vinyl Addiction Launch Party Recap!
This past Saturday I attended the Vinyl Addiction Launch Party at New People in Japan Town, San Francisco. If there's a party, who better to throw it than Jesse Hernandez! The building was filled with artists and fans alike, but from 7:00PM-10:00PM everyone was a winner knowing that the vinyl/art community had another large achievement in the form of Jesse's show Vinyl Addiction. The second you walk in your greeted by a table full of awesome vinyl toys, free food, and some feel good music provided by Genie Love. Did I mention free food? Well aside from free food, you also had the chance to win some free prizes!
After the screening of Vinyl Addiction, Jesse gathered everyone in the building for the raffle where a few lucky folks would get to walk away with some great prizes from a few of the sponsors of the show! Dragatomi, DoublePunch, KidRobot, Munky King, and Rotofugi just to name a few of the sponsors backing up Jesse. The prizes ranged from Alex Pardee's Walrus Rider, Jesse's Ozomahtli, and even Amanda Visell's new 20 inch Zebracorn! Now talk about giving back to the community!
So with Jesse's great sense of humor and showmanship, a great staff, awesome sponsors, and a huge turnout, the party was an absolute success! New People was the place to be on Saturday night! It's all good if you couldn't make it out to the party, because we got some exclusive photos for everyone and anyone who wanted to see what went down during the Vinyl Addiction party!
Check out my Flickr for more photos from the party!
