"Cran-Bot" custom Sketchbot from Lou Pimentel
Lou Pimentel has just revealed his custom Sketchbot for upcoming custom show going down at MyPlasticHeart in New York this Friday, March 26th 2010, and WOW did it turn out great! As you can see Lou took inspiration from his own figure Cranston Fellows Jr. and adapted that character into his Sketchbot custom... tongue, fangs, wings-n-all! This is going to be a smash up show and if the rest of the custom look half as good as what Lou produced, then heads will surely spin!

Custom "Ocean Nosferatu" from Rsin
Lonnie aka Rsin has just passed along some photos of a new custom that he created. This fantastic piece was created for a private collector, and is 1 of 2 custom Futura Nosferatu's he is creating! The story behind the custom above is that the collector really dug Rsin's custom "Ocean Bamba" (click HERE to view) that he created for the Multiversal show in Florida, and wanted something similar... so to achieve this Rsin says that "The arms on the Nosferatu were broke and I had to modify them to make it work, also with it not standing straight I decided to make these cups or coral to help balance the figure. Figure does not need them to stand, but with them atleast he's straight up." This figure, just like his Bamba, are really great in concept and execution, and it is really cool to see this "Ocean" style carry over to another platform so well. These Futura figures by themselves have such a strong shape and style and to be able to work it the way Rsin did deserves mad props...great job man.

"Persephone" a limited edition print by El Mac
Stencil artist El Mac has teamed up with Buddah Cat Press to release a beautiful print titled "Persephone"! This is a five color serigraph on Arches Cover Black and measures 30" x 42". This is an edition of only 50 pieces worldwide and is limited one per customer! These are going on pre-sale tomorrow, March 26th through April 9th, and the first 20 only are going to go up for $250 after April 9th or after edition number 20-40 the price goes up to $300... and then edition numbers 40-50 will run $350! Now some may think this is unfair, but it is a great reason to stake your claim as soon as this goes up for sale! Keep in mind that this print was hand-pulled (no press!) by Master Printer Karen Fiorito with the assistance of Kevin Fernandez.

OhNo!Doom Gallery presents: Urban Paradise
OhNo!Doom is proud to present their next amazing show featuring the works of Two Daves... Aerosols and antlers. One beloved cityscape, two approaches. David Soukup stencils out Chicago with pain-staking diligence while David Rettker takes his brush to our favorite neighborhoods populating them with the occasional woodland creature. Both artists bring forth new pieces created on wood. Their work populates the gallery Saturday April 3rd until April 24th. The opening reception is going down on April 3rd, 2010 from 6-10pm... and both artists will be in attendance... which is a plus in my book, always great to chop it up! I personally like the styles of both artists and just from the flier above, I can tell this is going to be a fantastic show!
