James Groman's resin "Zombot Ghoul"
I was just recently introduced to James Groman's work by his fellow Cleveland'ian Chris Ryniak, and was blow away by his work... and low and behold he has a new resin figure he is offering up for pre-order right now! He is taking advance orders for his fantastic "Zombot Ghoul" resin model kit. This figure stands a menacing 22" tall and is composed of 9 pieces which also comes with a 6" long laser rifle, circular base and nameplate, and 3 vinyl hoses to match his original Zombot Ghoul illustration (left). I am completely floored by the detail work in the piece and anyone who is a fan of zombies has got to LOVE this! The pre-order price is $200, with $25 for shipping and handling, and you can get it HERE. Keep on the lookout for more work from James as well, this guy has some serious talent...

"Kick" & "Push" the dead kitties from James yeah?
Artist James yeah?, must be getting kicked in the rump as of late, because he has been pushing out new customs left and right. Sorry I just had to :-) These figures were created from the skull thingies off the ILOVEDUST 8" Dunny... which James created "Kick" and "Push" the dead kitties from. I am really liking the style of the most recent customs James has made, all having the awesomely simple, yet effective paint scheme to them! These SOLD fast as well, so keep your eye on James' Flickr for more customs to come!

3A reveals their Little Shadow figure...
Recently posted HERE was the teaser of ThreeA's "Little Shadow" 1:6 scale female articulated figure, and now they just revealed the figure in a somewhat blurry picture. This character reins from the "Adventure Kartel" not from any comics, or books, but made specifically for toy consumption... with maybe a novel written later??? This is set to release on Friday, March 19th, 2010 at 8:59AM HKT at Bambalandstore.com for $80, which like all their releases includes the shipping! The figure looks really cool, and I think all the amazing accessories that come with these figures are dope, and what we can tell so far from the picture is that this one comes with a nice messengers bag.

"Concept Study No.01" from Brent Nolasco for Dragatomi's "5 Eyed Dragon Show"
Brent Nolasco just sent over some sweet pictures of his latest custom for the "5 Eyed Dragon Show" at Dragatomi on April 10th. This piece, although it may look unfinished, that is the intention, and Brent's focus this year with his customs is going to be on the form! Brent says "Adding paint might take away from the piece, and this year I'm going to keep some customs with out paint. So you can focus more on the fusions of all the platforms and the concept behind the customs." I think that is a great idea and I have felt that way about alot of pieces in the past not just from Brent but other artists (including my own work) that show off their pieces all primed, without paint, they look amazing and then after adding paint something is lost.
The title of this pieces is "Concept Study No.01", and is a mesh of many vinyl pieces including, but not limited to Craola, Eaton, Mindstyle, and also included in the mix is found objects, Aves Sculpt, plastic, and prime... and what a mash up of pure awesomeness!
