Toy2R salutes DIY Artists Jeremie Memming, Jan Huling and Pocket Wookie.
[Press] As March begins, Toy2R would like to thank everyone for their continued support of Qees for the past 15 years and salutes those talented artists who make the D.I.Y. genre what it is today. Toy2R proudly presents 3 new custom Qees by Jeremie Memming, Jan Huling and Pocket Wookie.
- Jeremie Memming's second version of Where The Wild Things Are really captures the look and feel of the classic story. This time around, Jeremie has sculpted the detail of each character to bring to life the 8" and 2.5" Qees.
- Jan Huling customized her third Qee - 9" Bunee - an appropriate piece for the upcoming holiday with its pastel coloring of intricate bead work.
- Pocket Wookie customizes another fun Qee - a 16" Bear - with familiar flair and humor - appropriately supporting his own brand while announcing his newly revamped website.

EWOK 5mh 8" box truck from TyoToys
What a great idea... I just got word from Tyo Toys about a rad new collectible that they are releasing upon the masses. they teamed up with graff artist EWOK to release an awesome die cast box truck featuring the artwork from Ewok 5mh on the side! This measures 8" length x 3.5" high and is full on as realistic as it can get without a working motor... it has a metal cab with plastic parts, opening doors, chrome wheels and chrome-filled artwork. This is up for presale now, and for only $50, what a steal! This will ship March 15th and will include Ewok 5mh x TYO stickers. This is great, and I hope they release more in the future!

Sergey Safonov "Lunohod-1" prototype figure...
Sergey Safonov, a toy artist from Moscow, Russia. has been working very closely with the folks over at Crazylbel to produce "Lunohod-1" or "Luno" the mascot for Sergey's vinyl toy store. In April of this year Lunohod-1.ru turns 5 years old and Sergy thought it would be a great idea to celebrate with this awesome figure. Sergey says "For about 6 month, teams at Lunohod-1 and Crazylabel, were very busy making Exterior Design, Interior Design, Clay Modeling, Class-A Surfacing, Scale modeling and Prototyping, Power-train engineering and more interesting stuff to prepare this 3-wheeler for our celebration." This little guy seems very compact, and appears to be the size of a softball, maybe a little larger and from the looks of it and what I can gather from info is that it will actually roll... more pics and info up on Sergey's Flickr site HERE! Next up is the paint application... so stay tuned!

Paddy Leung's new website and cool sculptures
You may remember Paddy Lung from her "NGA4" sculpt HERE... she is the co founder of darkmatters and most recently dropped a new "personal" website that houses a ton of her work... and above are some new works that she created primarily out of Urethane, Polymer Clay, and Resin. These pieces are somewhat disturbing, but that is what she is going for... big pieces of meat/flesh, I particularly like the image on the right which is sculpted on top of a rattle can. For more info and pictures hit up her site HERE!

Yarrrrrr, I am a pirate... actually I was the drummer of a band called "Yes... We Are Pirates!" when I was in college, so I love all things pirate/skulls... if you wanna listen click HERE! TeeFury is an awesome website that sells T-shirts for $9 a pop...the only catch is that it is only on sale for 24hours and then the next T-shirt is posted up! I have seen awesome shirts by some amazing artists on here and the total purchase price is $11. So that is $9 for the Tee and $2 for the shipping...that is an awesome deal that can't be beat! I will try and post the shirts up daily, or you can go visit the site yourself!
Money does go back to the artist and after today, this t-shirt will be Gone FOREVER! Today artist earns $1 for every tee sold. So make sure you get over there if yer diggin the design!
