This website is about any and everything that sparks the creative genius in all of us. By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and enjoy all aspects of design. From traditional to urban from resin to vinyl, these are all great mediums and deserve to be explored. On top of that everything from music to movies from guns to graffiti.
Dragatomi just dropped a bomb, and by bomb I mean they got and exclusive colorway of Jesse Hernandez's Ozomahtli which is being produced by Bic Plastics... their particular version is the "Ghost" and it is an awesome GID/Black colorway! This version is limited to only 100pcs world wide and will drop the weekend of April 2 - April 4th, at Dragatomi's WonderCon Booth #1221! Jesse will also be on hand during the Con (no time specified yet) to sign this figure! There is no word on price yet, but rumors are saying this rad figure is going to retail for under $100, SWEET... this makes me wonder what other versions are out there, I guess time will tell... what a rad looking figure!

James Yeah? always makes amazing customs and when he showed me this one i had to share it with you all. This custom 5" Labbit titled "Catit" was made as a comission for a friend of James' and it turned out so great, and just like the reest of James' customs the simplicity of the paint application and the addition of the ears and tail work so well... and I love the turned in legs. More pics of James' work can be found HERE, great job man and keep em' comming!
The guys over at 2PR are working with designer Onorio Depiro on the release of his new robot "Metal Soldiers". You may remember the original post HERE about these rad figures, and now that Onorio has layed down some great initial concepts... the guys are throwing some more ideas around to make this release even more special. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think this is a winning combination for sure, and can't wait to see more!
Myx can be seen on Comcast Channel 368 in the California Bay Area, Cox Ch. 479 (Orange County) and Cox Ch. 464 (Northern Virginia). It’s also on DirecTV – Channel 2067. Watch it if you get it, and support Jesse and our tight knit art community!
Jon Knox aka Hello, Brute had a surprise release on Monday March 1st, where he let loose his Jeffrey, Max, and Skipper figures in a limited edition resin miniature "Gold" line. This was part of his first batch standing at only 3.5" tall and they sold for only $10 each. Stay on your toes because he will drop more at a later date!
Sometimes I am amazed at what is out there, and what you can find with a simple Google search like the one I just did for "Rocket Boy". I ran across the works of Norio Fujikawa a San Francisco illustrator/designer who has some amazing work up in his Behance site... and this particular piece caught my eye... maybe because it was what I was searching for :-) Now this is just in 3D form, but for some reason ever since I got into designer toys I see everything as a "What if this was a toy"... am I the only one? The proportions of "Rocket Boy" are great, I love the bulbous body and the oversized engines attached to the suit, not to mention the great stubby yet long arms. Norio has some other amazing pieces, so go check out his portfolio HERE!
I just randomly ran across the Take-G Toys website where it appears that the majority of their products are made entirely out of wood, and they are FANTASTIC. Now it is tough to really know what is going on here because the majority of the site is in Japanese, and even with a translator it's tough to understand, but the images speak for themselves... wood robots FTW!!!! I absolutely love all the different styles, how some are mech type, and others are straight up robots. Go check out thier site HERE for other images of products that they make!
The 28-year-old Austrian artist STAS releases his twisted version of a Maneki Neko sculpture in an edition of 10 handmade pieces. This is a play on the "Lucky Cat" in Asian cultures where that figure is waving its arm in good luck form... this figure on the other hand brings fear into the hearts of those that see it, where the punch of a single button can end the world as we know it!
The figure is made from modeling paste with acrylic paint and has a moving arm that is powered by batteries! Doom Cat stands at a large 8" all and is retailing now for around $160! You can pick one of these limited edition figures up HERE right now! I think the twist on this figure is really cool... the figure does seem to be a little overpriced, but other than that I love it!
Robotars by Jomike Tejido is sad to announce that the launch of Series 1 has been delayed... but to not worry because the 1st Robotars custom show is all set for Earth Day 2010! This show is going down at Art Asia Gallery, 4/F SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Manila, Philippines on April 16 and will run until May 15 2010!!! There are going to be over 30 artists participating on the blank DIY Robotar figure, and a percent of the exhibit proceeds shall benefit Haribon Foundation's Rainforestation fund, and give more homes to real Tarsiers, among other forest creatures. This will mark the first public release of Robotars designer figure, so it should be awesome!
I received an email from Ibar Yensen the creator of "THUG!"... the first vinyl toy from Chile and he is asking for your support in loue of the recent events that took place last week in his home country where it was devastated by a furious 9.0 earthquake & tsunami. They are asking that you contact DKE toys to get their product distributed, which in turn will help out with the disaster efforts that ravaged their town.
Spencer & Stephen Ong of Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica just finished their newest custom Celsius, and boy is it a doozie! This Mech is part of their Ganpla Series 2 featuring STRIKE FREEDOM GUNDAM from the Gundam Seed Series, which Spencer states is his favorite Gundam series so far. This is a limited edition of 5 figures and will release soon... no details on when but this is one of 2 figures in this series... they are working on the second design now, and until then we get a glimpse of what it will look like from the teaser on the left!
I am really diggin this illustration style, it almost reminds me of a cross between Biskup/Jeremyville! TeeFury is an awesome website that sells T-shirts for $9 a pop...the only catch is that it is only on sale for 24hours and then the next T-shirt is posted up! I have seen awesome shirts by some amazing artists on here and the total purchase price is $11. So that is $9 for the Tee and $2 for the shipping...that is an awesome deal that can't be beat! I will try and post the shirts up daily, or you can go visit the site yourself!
Money does go back to the artist and after today, this t-shirt will be Gone FOREVER! Today artist earns $1 for every tee sold. So make sure you get over there if yer diggin the design!
I just caught a glimpse of one of Jeremiah's twits... and was completely blown away and I tend to feel sorry for the guy after reading what he says, which is: "This custom will probably take me a month to finish. Got the head started..." Haha, that thing is massive and I, as well as the person who commissioned this piece, can't wait to see more. Social networks are so amazing, and actually pretty invasive , but who cares because you can see works in progress like this amazing soon to be piece of art take shape, RAD! Take your time dude... your hand will be cramping for sure if you don't!
