Exclusive look at an upcoming vinyl figure titled "The ELEMENTAL BADGERS" from David Foox

We are proud to say that SpankyStokes.com is one of the few to get a FIRST EXCLUSIVE look at David Foox's new vinyl figure coming out very soon! This figure titled "The ELEMENTAL BADGERS" measures 5" tall and will be a very limited run of vinyl totems, and by totem we mean statue, you can't actually stack these... and how limited you may ask... only 25 sets of each colorway which will include RED, GREEN, BLUE, GRAY, and GOLD and "each colorway carries with it a hopeful message, wish or desire" according to Foox.

Now the above figure is just in 3D prototype form, and the actual figure itself has not been created yet (at least to my knowledge) so we can only use our imagination of what these will look like once produced. They all have a price tag of $39.99 except for the "Soul" version which is $79.99, and they can be pre-ordered HERE! The price does seems a little steep, but that is because of the limited quantities, I do hope however that the quality is up to par... and I am sure David is working very closely with the factory on this! The jury is still out for me on the actual figure, but I am totally in on the concept... time will tell, and more images may sway me one way or another... either way I am anxious to see more. Keep em' coming David!

Info about each version(from Foox's site):
AIR BADGER - This totem represents the breath of universal life. It is the Word itself and the palpable sign of invisible life. Carry this totem to bring harmony and peace into your life.

FIRE BADGER - This totem corresponds to the Heart. It symbolizes the passion of love and life. Carry it to bring zest to your life and adventure, love, passion, and energy.

WATER BADGER - the vehicle for cleansing and regeneration. This totem contains all the promises of evolution and will heal the sick.

EARTH BADGER - This totem represents gentleness and fertility. Carry this totem if you wish to conceive now or later.

SOUL BADGER - This totem represents the everlasting energy of the immortal soul within each of us. Carry this totem to remember that you do in fact control your destiny.

*SHOW RECAP* "Far Out West" featuring the artwork of Arbito @ Super 7 SF

Now since I don't have the luxury to get jet set to often, it is great when other sites cover events in such great detail where it feels like you were there in person, and that is exactly what Kirkland Jue of Toybot Studios did. This last weekend Arbito had an awesome solo sow at Super 7 SF and Kirkland was on hand to get some great video of the show as well as do a little video interview with the man himself! The show looked killer and all the pieces (which some are still available HERE) are truly dope in my book, the whole lot of them really strike a chord, and the first time I saw work by Arbito I have been hooked, now to get some scratch so I can own one of his pieces... a boy can dream right?

Qee X FifthSun new apparel line from TOY2R... for humans... for toys... ????

We just got a little teaser image from Toy2R who has announced that they are working with Fifth Sun on a new apparel line... now, I am not sure quit yet if it is for humans or for the actual Qee's... or maybe could it be both, but all we have is the flyer above and seeing the silhouette of the female image above leads me to believe that it is going to be for humans, but all the language in it suggests for toys "Qee"... ugggg I am so confused!

"Dog Brain" by mitra farmand @TeeFury

Meeeeh, TeeFury can do better than this in my opinion, I mean the shirt is cute, but it looks like something I would pick up at a gift shop in Costa Rica... oh well, on to tomorrow! TeeFury is an awesome website that sells T-shirts for $9 a pop...the only catch is that it is only on sale for 24hours and then the next T-shirt is posted up! I have seen awesome shirts by some amazing artists on here and the total purchase price is $11. So that is $9 for the Tee and $2 for the shipping...that is an awesome deal that can't be beat! I will try and post the shirts up daily, or you can go visit the site yourself!

Money does go back to the artist and after today, this t-shirt will be Gone FOREVER! Today artist earns $1 for every tee sold. So make sure you get over there if yer diggin the design!

"The Legend of Apollo" 1/6 scale bust from Carbon-Fibre Media is seriously rad!

Passed on from the good word of Eric Nocella Diaz owner/operator of Argonaut Resin, I had to share this info with all of my readers. Eric's buddy Grey, who has worked with biggies in the comic industry such as DC and Marvel, started a new company called Carbon-Fibre Media and through this company he is now launching his own endeavors complete with online web comics and all sorts of merchandise... which leads us into the meat of this post...

Grey is also a super talented sculptor, as you can see by the Apollo bust above, he has some serious skill and is trying to get a following. This is the first of two busts available on their site right now, and they have more in store in the near future. This is the first of a series of 1/6 scale sculpts, busts and action figures based on the original web series, "THE LEGEND OF APOLLO", written and illustrated by Grey, so if your are into 1/6 scale busts, bookmark these guys, some rad work for sure!

"K11 gohst" Squadts companion from Jamungo

We first posted about Jamungo's "K11 Companions" HERE and now thanks to the great information juggernaut also know as the Collect and Destroy forum we a new picture of a more finalized figure titled "K11 gohst". This figure, decked out in all his gear, is looking pretty slick... still not really my cup of tea and I never did feel as though Squadt needed a companion, but I am sure tons will love these, just not for me. They will come in different versions according to Ferg, one already known titled "Spike" will have ears. Ferg also states that "Some will come with Squadts as sets, and some will be released separately, not sure on price yet." More info to come... Jamungo is bringing the heat this year, it's great to see for sure!
