Many people equate 3A toys with uber pricey 1:6 scale toys and as such they never know the pleasure of owning such a great fully articulated piece of art. What they may not know is that 3A makes a line of toys that are 1:12 scale half the size of their larger brothers. Pictured here is the WWRp or World War Robot Portable line up. While the bramble (posing with the gattling gun) has sold out now the Bertie shown in all white are now available. The next robot up is the Large Martin shown in the back. No word when the Armstrong (the robot shown on the left side) will be released. The square and the severed heads are special to the 7 and 12 packs that sold out last Oct. 2009. Prices for all figures are $40 - 45 at your favorite retail outlets.

Pierre Rouzier of PiNkJazZ Studio has been a character sculptor for the entertainment and giftware industry. He have been sculpting and producing his own line of toy and resin figures since the garage kit days of the mid 1990's. 'Plutonian Plush' was his first designer line which originally featured an alien characters Orbit & Warp as 12" soft toys, and has since become his signature brand. Although relatively new to the urban art scene, his blog features works that deviate from his day job doing sculptural deeds for the glorification of corporate giants, while the focus is meant to explore the balance of his trade and his own artistic aspirations. Affectionately known as - "Vapor", this is his recent release of limited edition resin figures, Of which two versions are being offered... and are really cool I might add!!!

Smash Tokyo – a small toy company who’s interest is bringing retro 70's-style robots back in style – will be releasing their first toy – the BOHRER K16. From artists Kris Smith, Matt (Mattyboombatty) Walls and designers Irulan and FULLER, the BOHRER K16 is a white, 6" DIY, fully customizable robot with removable limbs and two interchangeable heads (the Drillhead and the ‘Centurion’ head). As you may remember from our previous post HERE, this figure looks great and I really am looking forward to seeing the prototypes!
Scion's "Infinity" was a group exhibition of artists whose practices or aesthetics related to the many facets of the infinite. The Vastness of this concept was explored through painting, drawing, photography, and 3D multi-media installation. The subject matter as well as the medium varied greatly. Some artists' work was a more literal representation of this subject, suggestive of such things as mathematics, space, time, technology, abstraction, pattern, or repetition, while others chose to address the opposite or "finite", such as fragility, mortality, the temporary, and even doomsday scenarios.
Stefan is a super talented artist, and a super cool guy to boot! You can now follow all of his updates via his Twitter profile HERE, not on Twitter yet? Get a move on!
Good morning. I'm back from my Salt Lake City Thanksgiving Extravaganza, probably 5lbs. heavier, a little worse for wear, but in good spirits. Now it's just a regular old Sunday and I'm still sticking to my monster-a-day diet. Here it is... Daily Monster No. 8. On a completely unrelated note, it's my parents' 35th wedding anniversary today! Hats off, Mom and Dad! They love each other almost as much as 344 LOVES YOU!
