The month of February is "Billy month" in the land of Blamoville! That's right, Blamo Toys' most popular character "Billy the Rabbit" is getting a full month of limited edition releases all to himself! To start the month off strong, Blamo Toys is releasing "Adventure Billy" the second figure in their line of artist edition Billy figures. Blamo founding member Shayne Maratea's custom Billy for the "Welcome to Blamoville" show was easily the most popular design of the event, selling out in only minutes. Due to this overwhelming popularity Blamo Toys has asked Shayne to produce a very limited run of "Adventure Billys" for their web store!
Each "Adventure Billy" comes covered in tea stained maps, and travels equipped with his own a hand sewn leather satchel. Like the original Billy figure, "Adventure Billy" is 6" tall and hand carved from solid Suar wood. He comes packaged in a hand printed cardboard display box. Limited to only 5 in this design, this figure is sure to go fast. "Adventure Billy" costs $110 + shipping and is currently available through Blamotoys.com HERE!
Reception: February 4th 5-8pm
Exhibition Dates: January 28th - March 11th

He joins the Infectious catalog today with his iconic Che artwork, replacing the face seen on dorm room posters across the world with a skull. He subverts the rallying cry of “Che Vive” with the irrefutable fact that “Che No Vive”. (He would also like to remind hipsters enamored with the dashing rebel that if he were alive “he would probably either shoot them or put them to work in the cane fields”...) Dead Che will also be making an appearance at San Diego Comic Con in 2010 as a vinyl toy, check out it's evolution on SpankyStokes HERE.
Francesco LoCastro’s new paintings are a pulsating mix between abstract eruptions and pop-infused realism.
Painter, illustrator and toy designer Gary Baseman takes us inside his magically creepy world with this one-on-one interview at his home studio.
Miso’s figures, often vulnerable and dependent on their environments, sometimes resemble strange sheep-like specimens.
