"RB" the new master craftsman collectible figure from Ducobi

Ducobi is a company of talented designers and strategic-thinking developers from Korea, Japan and the U.S.A. with their mission being one to create designer toys for the true toy collectors of the world. Their figure titled "RB" is simple in design, and that is fine by them, because their main focus is on craftsmanship... seeing as these figures are covered in mother-of-pearl inlay & lacquer finish... some crazy detail on such small figures, would you consider these art toys?

The "RB" figures stand at about 6.5" inches tall, and are made in very limited quantities, some designs are created as low as 10 pieces and some as high as 100 pieces... now these are cool and all and I totally respect the "craftsmanship" of these figures but they are charging a TON of money for these unknown figures, and by a ton I mean $750-$1,400!! Okay now that you've picked your jaw off the ground, get ready because the White Tiger version has already sold out at the $1,400 range! What are all or your thoughts on these figures, is it worth the money, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Vampire Dunny by Kevin Gosselin

Customizer Kevin Gosselin was commissioned to do a vampire Dunny and this is what he came up with. As you can see from the pictures, the stake is removable... what a cool feature! This was done on a 3" Dunny where Kevin says "I have to say that doing a little sculpt like this was a lot more challenging than I expected. It took just a long if not longer to do this guy than a larger piece due to the difficulty of size. I really wanted to get even more detailed with the anatomy but was unable." Kevin based this design concept from the artwork of Brom. This turned out really great and for more pictures and info including more customs hit up Kevin's site HERE!

*UPDATE* Kenny Wong's Sea Monkey

Kenny Wong continues to dazzle us with his amazing "Sea Monkey" figure and as you can see from the shots above it is coming along very nicely. Kenny is doing some extensive research and development of the interior of this giant beast, making sure that every nook and cranny has been accounted for. You can see that he has been using clay to sculpt the inner workings and tubes, as well as some rendered sketches up on his computer to help in this process. The realism of this piece is going to be fantastic and I can;t wait to see more progress shots as this figure comes along.

"Ollie" the Cyclops Monster from LASH

LASH of Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has just posted up a picture of his amazing "Ollie" figure which is going to stand at over a foot of mutated vinyl hardcore!!!! LASH says that "This is the rough sculpt, all joints still need to be refined as well a few spots still need to be added for body parts to flow better into each other... More images to come over the next few days." This piece is friggen amazing and if this ends up getting produced I would love to have one in my collection... you can't go wrong with a giant cyclops, you just can't!

Stefan Bucher's Daily Monster #12

Stefan is a super talented artist, and a super cool guy to boot! You can now follow all of his updates via his Twitter profile HERE, not on Twitter yet? Get a move on!

From Stefan's Blog:

Good morning. Sometimes these clips take 45 minutes to prepare. Other times the machine just refuses to do my bidding. Quicktime Pro is a great little tool, but there are certain things that it's not really intended for. Today the audio just refused to synch up and I ended up fiddling about for six hours and now it's 6.48 a.m. Ugh! Definitely not planned. But hey... that's just how it goes and it had to get done.
