This is why entering contests on SpankyStokes.com pays off... a wall of prizes, literally!
Back in July we teamed up with Symbiote Studios to do a custom Symbiote contest, where the winners would take home an awesome amount of gift certificates to the Symbiote online store. After all the customs came in and all the voting was done the winners were announced, and first and second place went to Phil from New Skool Tattoos... and look at what just arrived today, they figured why not get a boat load of DIY Symbiotes, 54 to be exact, to hone their custom skills in (you can spot the winning pieces in the upper corners of the picture). Have fun with all your figures guys, and the moral of this story... get involved with our contests because this could be you :-)

"Dredge" by Brian Morris... the next amazing figure in the Lake Monster Series

This is one of the reasons why I love the community, and thanks to Rotofugi for giving us a sneak peek at an amazing new figure titled "Dredge" which was designed by Brian Morris. This is so awesome, and kinda unexpected, seeing as this is the second figure out of who knows how many in the Lake Monster series produced by Squibbles Ink. The sculpt is being completed as we speak by Chris Ryniak and Squibbles Ink's own Joe Sommers. This is going to be an awesome pair, Muskie and Dredge, and an unruly duo to be reckoned with... stay tuned for updates!

Elite Gudz' Phetus & Mr. Den Live Drawing for Wizard Sleeve Toys during the Multiversal Art Show
Elite Gudz just unearthed some footage of Phetus and Mr. Den Live Drawing for an event hosted by Wizard Sleeve Toys during Art Basel week and cut another epic video for your viewing pleasure. With just markers, canvases and a bottle of liquor, the duo wowed onlookers as they whipped up cartoony and creepy designs like only they can. Also on display were original canvases and vinyl toys by Phetus and Mr. Den inspired by Elite Gudz' Concrete Immortalz.

A New Year, A New Doom...
OhNo!Doom, that is. The gallery, previously presiding in Logan Square, has recently moved into a bigger and better space in Bucktown. ON!D is home to amazing, cutting edge exhibits that surpass all expectations. It is also a great place to take in the work of established artists as well as new up-and-coming talent. The new location will also act as a retail space for the OhNo!Doom wares. Here you can find apparel, plush (including the group’s Fluffy YukYuk) and goodies from Rocket World. The space is owned and operated by the OhNo!Doom Collective, a group composed of artists, designers, animators and overall nice people.
The New Year also marks changes within the collective itself. Joining the team are artists Max Bare and Lana “plushinator” Crooks, the former curators of A.Okay Official. The rest of (and the founders of) the OhNo!Doom Collective are Andrew Thompson, Joseph Call, Oscar Alatorre and Jordan Owen.
Address: 1800 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 4pm-10pm
Saturday 12-7pm
By Appointment: info@ohnodoom.com
The Grand Opening Exhibit:
Rock The Future! The Exhibition

Rock The Future seeks to raise funds in effort to support Rock For Kids in their mission to provide free music education through community partnerships through out the city of Chicago. Curated by Sadie Woods (White Label).
The artists included are:
Martin Atkins • Jason Brammer • Nicole Briggs • Terence Byas • Monica Cruz • Orlando Camacho • Terry Dixon • Ricardo Gamboa • Jada Gaspar • John Tuan Huynh • Lacey Pipher
Visit rockthefuture.blogspot.com for additional information regarding the exhibition. The Exhibit is on view through Saturday February 6th.

The selling of open blind-boxes is lifted???
So... a few weeks ago we understood that the sale of open blind-box Dunny's was no longer going to be permitted... fast forward to today and it seems as though this is not the case! According to Michael from Strangekiss, in a conversation we were having, and in an answer to a direct question between Michael and their Kidrobot representative, they are allowed to sell opened box Dunny's prior to 2010... this being the case I wonder if it is applicable to all other stores as well... sounds like you might have to get on the horn to your respective KR rep and see if this applies to you, in any case all the Dunny's that were up at Strangekiss will return January 19th in the late afternoon for your purchasing pleasure.
