"Russian Stacking Doll" Bomb/Bullet prototype

Blair Collins aka Inlite a designer from New Zealand sent over some awesome pictures of a toy prototype based off of the concept of the "Russian Stacking Dolls", but instead of dolls he uses bombs/bullets. Blair says that "I modeled it in Blender and sent it to ShapeWays to have it printed using selective laser sintering (layers of plastic powder melted together with a laser)." The prototype in the picture above is made from nylon and "is insanely strong but slightly rough due to the printing process." says Blair. He also states that the walls of the casings are super thin, and really does not know how to get this produced (any suggestions?), either way the concept is amazing ,and the prototype is really solid. Great job on this man, and let us know how the rest of the process goes.

Adventure Kartel Tommy Mission from 3A

I am not even a collector of the ThreeA stuff but I find out about the sales as soon as they happen, go to their site, and they are already sold out... crazy! It would be really frustrating for me if I did collect this stuff, but I can see why it is in such high demand...because they are awesome! The Adventure Kartel Tommy Mission 1/6th Figure came and went just like that from the Bambaland store, and for a mere $80... no wonder! I will try and stay on top of things better for you guys on this stuff, and if anyone has inside info about releases so I can post earlier let me know, I get swamped :-)

Patch Together's "Floxy" Blind-box series

Just when you thought this New Year's Eve could not get anymore exciting, Patch Together announces an upcoming blind-box release. These figures titled "Floxy" is a really cool representation of a fox figure, initially designed by SOMA and interpreted by artists such as DUST, Bunka, Missmonster, Okkle and VISEone. These are set to drop sometime in February, so look forward to more design reveals from other artists as well as more info as the time draws closer!

Hot of the heels of the Medic Dropcloth reveal comes yet another posting on the ThreeA Toys production blog showing off their Desert Dropcloth! This figure is set to release in the near future, no set date yet, but the teases (sans decals) makes me think they are close to a release date. Awesome robot insides, makes my tummy feel all warm and fuzzy! TeeFury is an awesome website that sells T-shirts for $9 a pop...the only catch is that it is only on sale for 24hours and then the next T-shirt is posted up!
