"River Runts" custom from 64Colors

I just got word from Eric over at 64Colors that they will be releasing a new custom in their store HERE tomorrow at Noon EST. This rad little guys is based on vintage fish decoys and lures... and this series is called "River Runts", love em!!!

Here is a little background on the "River Runts"
"Found in muddy lakes, ponds and tributaries of the southern United States, these chubby, little creatures make a hearty snack when breaded and pan fried. If their musky taste isn't to your liking, stick em with a hook and toss em back as they make great bait for some of the bigger fish swimming in your local lake, river or pond. If you fancy a aquatic pet with attitude, toss em in your tank and watch what happens. Be aware, they more interested in eating then making new friends."

"Robotars" new resin from Jomike Tejido

Jomike Tejido is an Architect and part-time visual artist and has recently become involved with the designer toy community starting out dabbling with paper-craft. His first project titled "The Robotars" was just that, a toy project started as papercraft in 2008 and now it is in resin. In his formal launch, he has asked a group of 10 customizers to do their thing on his Robotars figure as an exhibit he plans to launch at Fresh Manila when it re-opens in 2010. They are all his Filipino artist friends with various styles in the field of illustration, painting, and design.

Apart from the exhibit, he will have a limited release of 100 hand-painted Robotars resin figures in blind boxes, and the collectors will have a chance to get the ten works of the featured artists, hidden in the 100 boxes. This will be series 1.

View the site for the Robotars papercraft toy HERE and be sure to CLICK THROUGH for much more information about the origin of this new figure as well as some great background info.

About the product:

Do you think 40 could compete? What country (or planet) is it competing for? How did it qualify? Or is it engaged in an altogether different activity that just happens to look like ski jumping? I'm sure you've got all kinds of ideas already and I'm excited to see where you'll take this one! Even on the road and without immediate internet access 344 LOVES YOU!
