DUDE!!!!! This is one amazing custom by DrilOne based off of Jamungo's Squadt figure, Dril really took this and owned it, in true DrilOne fashion! The amazing visual above really captures the pure essence of what Dril was going for, and he did a great job creating the scene.
The figure, done as a commission piece, is outstanding all the way down to the custom made helmet, fatigues and weapons, which the muzzle was borred and the chamber was cut out for added realism . I am just going to tease you with he above image, but if you want to see more head on over to Dril's Flickr HERE for a ton more shots! Amazing work man, seriously killed it!
Walter Jacott aka Chauskosis continues to amaze me with all of his custom figures and the one above is an example of just that! This was his very first Teddy trooper and he tried to make it a bit like a lagoon monster, swamp thing, a kaiju toy, a bird, well just about everything, and boy did it turn out fantastic, I love the squinty eye, awesome! View more pictures HERE.
Posted above are some more amazing videos from Phil Koenig as he tapes Graffiti/Custom artist Scribe and a few of his buddies doing the hamster wall in KC. This week the videos are of Scribe painting a Bee and a Fox as well as his buddy Jason Brunson painting a Dog. There are 13 videos total and Phil will be posting 2 or 3 time-lapse movies each monday morning. It is amazing to see Scribe work and use only spray cans to make such a rad piece of art is really mind blowing! Thanks for sharing this Phil, and I look forward to the rest of em'!
"Ever since I [started] combining some mixed media or street art—‘there’s no mistake’ kind of idea—[it] makes me much more free." -David Choong Lee
Korean-born artist David Choong Lee's intricate paintings and collages are built layer upon elaborate layer. Merging photorealistic elements with simplified shapes and patterns in a way he describes as "visual DJ-ing," his paintings draw from both classical styles and street art. Now based out of San Francisco, David Choong Lee's artwork has appeared in galleries throughout California, as well as in New York, Portland, Canada, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. Watch the interview, available for the first time to the public for free, on Walrus TV.
Born in Trinidad and currently based in California, Miles Regis paints from everyday life. This past weekend was chocked full of happenings all around the country... shoot around the globe, and unfortunately I am unable to make the trip to all of these rad art shows, but thanks to awesome peeps like Jay222 we are able to get a glimpse at one of these said shows. Jay222 was on hand at Ron English's opening at the Medicine Agency where Ron debuted his fantastic, mind bending 24" x 24″ 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle based on his painting “Mandala Grin” which was produced by Tools of the Trade. As you can see from the above pics, Jay is giving his best "Grin" impersonation as he stands next to the man himself with a Secret Base x Ron English X-RAY MCSUPERSIZED, which is now in Jay's possession :-) Be sure to CLICK THROUGH for more pictures from this event, and huge thanks to Jay222 once again for snapping the pics for me!

Before I get all verklempt, let me introduce you to Monster 42. He may not have the answer to life, the universe, and everything, but at least he's got a yo-yo, and that's a start. What do you think he's up to? Is he playing in between classes at Monster School? Is his yo-yo actually the size of Ayers Rock? Or is it not a yo-yo at all, but a complex multidimensional computer interface? You hold in your brains the Magnificent Unknown: I know that I don't know what you know, but I know that you know and I know that you'll tell us! And that's one of the reasons that 344 LOVES YOU!
