Specifically in the urban arena, Hook has been reeled in for his photographic skill and talent by the likes of Angry Woebots, CKaweeks, Pancho Abalos, 2H and Peekaboo, just to name a few. Because of him being in such high demand, John Hook was recruited to be the official photographer for the “Feed My Tummy” show some six months ago in the planning stages of this event. Posted above are Scribe's, Leecifer's, and Squidnik!
For the event photoshoot for the “Feed My Tummy” show, John had a vision in mind, “The concept I had of the shoot being that these figures invade a kitchen in a restaurant in search of some food so they could ‘Feed My Tummy”. The Tummy customs, created by Marine Randamhi, an Indonesian native, for this event photo shoot were customized by the very talented Scribe, Leecifer and Squidnik.
The “Feed My Tummy” show will make it’s public debut on December 1st, at Prototype’s Ala Moana store location from 6-9pm, and will feature a total of 15 different artists from across the globe.
Chris Mars “IN PREPARATION OF BARRIER TRANSCENDENCE"
Billy Shire Fine Arts, kingpin of the so-called "Low Brow" and "Pop Surrealism" movements, will display some twenty-five recent oil paintings by Mars, as well as a selection of his most recent films including the surrealist meditation "This is No. 14" and the animated tale "Flowers for Jupiter". In addition, Mars will be presenting for sale his first limited edition multiple, a series of exhibition posters celebrating each of the three public venues for "In Preparation of Barrier Transcendence".

Heaven and Hell, a really doodley mess
"Urban Storytellers" Opening Reception @ Inkies!
This past weekend the art show "Urban Storytellers" had its opening reception at Inkies Tattoo Studio in Fremont, CA. I must say I was rather nervous about the outcome of the show at the beginning of the day, but as things came together I found that my nerves were starting to calm down. So the opening reception started at 7:00PM with a huge crowd taking up most of the space at Inkies! The artists that were in attendance were LilJapan, Pellet, Joey Boy, and a few others. There were works up from artist around the globe such as Peap Tarr, Olla-Boku, Troy Stith, Paul Shih, Patrick Francisco, and from local artists as well! There was an open sushi bar and a DJ spinning on the turn tables right behind the Sushi bar! The vibe was great, the crowd was chill, and it was a fun place to be at on a Saturday night! I'll have all the art work up for sale on my website as soon as I get things set up. So if you would like to get your loved ones a nice piece of art for the Holidays; keep your eyes out for the Urban Storytellers gallery artwork to be posted up online! The gallery will be up until December 5th so if you can make your way to Inkies in Fremont, CA. I suggest you do so!
