This website is about any and everything that sparks the creative genius in all of us. By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and enjoy all aspects of design. From traditional to urban from resin to vinyl, these are all great mediums and deserve to be explored. On top of that everything from music to movies from guns to graffiti.
Design site JMKit needs some support from the art/design community for this cute designer plush called the "JINX BUNNY". If they get enough votes Patch Together will put this on PRE ORDER. You can vote for this character HERE, and for all those on the fence about voting on this, just read the story behind this awesome plush character and that should sway you in the right way!
From JMKit: "Jinx is one of my lead characters, his story: He was sat amongst a bunch of other new released bunny toys that were on a shelf ready to be bought, the children all ran in the store and rushed to pick there new favorite bunny totally clearing the shelves, all except for two bunnies who were damaged in the crush. Jinx was one of these, he lost an eye and his tail and was left behind. The toy owner took pity on the lost bunny, stitched a kiss - X - for his missing eye and Jinx was born!"
Michael A. Salter makes some of the the coolest robots I have ever seen! These might be some of the most amazing, most awesome, most BADICAL robots I have ever seen! The best part is you can, if you have the initiative to do so, can make these yourself, just get out some packing material and go to town, don't get me wrong though, and by no means do i want to downplay his work because this would take years to perfect and master! These are not the only ones...he makes tons of them, all ranging from different sizes the biggest he has made is a 22' tall one, the one in the picture above is 14' tall! Looking at these massive pieces of polystyrene packing material makes me want one, or two :-)
Huck’s Fully Visual A/P Skullheads have finally arrived! They have 25 of these fellas and they are finished in a gorgeous Black Nickel. These pieces are large — for comparison’s sake, they are about three times larger than the first modernized Skullhead metal figure from Fully Visual, almost a pound and as big as a baseball. These paperweights of doom will each be signed, numbered and drop in Huck's store on Friday November 6th @ noon PST for $150 each.
Jeremy Madl, I Love Dust, Shin Tanaka, and Matthew Waldman have collaborated with Nooka Inc. to display their artistic talent to commemorate the release of the new mini NookaNooka the official mascot of Nooka watches by putting their own spin on the classic custom mini figure. Standing in at 5.3" tall, each mini NookaNooka is the perfect portable pal! Each one is $25 a piece and you can snag one HERE! They are a unique shape, and I think each design transfers over very well!
Also to mention is The Juan Maclean NookaNooka which is the not-too-distant relative of Nooka's official mascot, the NookaNooka. Born from the sci-fi influences and music of DFA Records' The Juan Maclean, and Nooka's decidedly different approach to design, their little robot friend hit the road with The Juan Maclean and made appearances at selected shows.
This is going to be one of those shows that is going to rock peoples socks, and what a lineup! This show is to feature Pon, Sket One, Mr. Shane Jessup, & MAD with I am sure new pieces of work from every single artist. This is going down on November 2oth @ Eloquent Delinquents in NY and will stay up until December 23rd! Not much more is known about this show at this time, but I am sure some sneak peeks will be thrown around sometime in the near future!
Now that the Halloween Morsel raffle (HERE for coverage) is over and the winner drawn on Episode 98 of Toybreak, it’s time for the Morsels to go on sale. This Thursday, November 5th at 12 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, the Chocomint Morsel colorway designed by Gary Ham is being released at his online store HERE. There were only 5 made of her. She is resin standing 8” tall upon a metal base. She was sculpted by Bear Williams and manufactured (meticulously casted and hand painted) by Julie B of Pretty in Plastic. Chocomint will be $225 plus shipping. This figure is super slick and turned out really nice!
This is an amazing time lapse movie of artist Scribe ATT DF with background music by Organic proof... This video was shot and edited by Phil Koenig. It is amazing to see Scribe work and use only spray cans to make such a rad piece of art is really mind blowing! Thanks for sharing this Phil!
The Rollie Show went down this past weekend @ All The Right and it was a collaboration between Tenacious Toys and NemO (NYC-based sculptor Mike Mendez). NemO came up with the idea of using little roll-on deodorant bottles (Rollies!) as custom platforms! And why not? With a sexy little organic shape, these specific Rollies are cheap, plastic and made in China just like everything else you customize. BUT, these only cost 99 cents! So he put out the word to all artists and what you see above is the fantastic result! These rad customs all have their own personality. There were over 40 artists involved with the show, an not to mention they had a live Painting with artist OsirisOrion(posted HERE). All pieces from the Rollie Show will be up for sale HERE on November 5th in addition to some paintings and sketches which were executed live at the show! A huge thanks to Benny from Tenacious Toys for the great pictures and coverage!
Daniel Goffin just passed over some rad news about some of his figures and his new online store that opened. Daniel born and raised in Germany has some amazing resin creations, where as most of them stand now are one-offs and are not for sale, but hopefully he plans on making these available in limited quantities to the masses! The rad figures posted above are some of his creations with "Karl Diesel"(top pic) which is some crazy mutated figure and "Red Hot Greetings From Russia"(bottom pic) which he created for a toy show last year. Check out Daniel's site HERE and his store HERE, some amazing work being done!
