Background info on "The Ringmaster":
Barnabus T. Barnabus, the Hawker, Barker and Ringmaster of the show has travelled with it since the beginning. Originally "The Orrible Legless Boy" he purchased some wheels and worked his way up to run the whole shebang. His eye for the peculiar and his unique way with words have made him and the circus a monumental success. Many dispossessed Mechtorians now arrive at the Freak Show's doors seeking fame and fortune. But they have to be chosen by Barnabus to make the cut. Though it is worth noting that he can probably be bribed with a packet of Custard Creams. Dok A created this piece using parts of A Mei Mei toy, A Stephan LePodd toy and a Sqwert toy. Vinyl, Rubber, Lead, Polymer clay, Paper, ABS, Brass, Steel, Found objects.

Ryan McGinness is interested in creating a new vocabulary for everyday symbols and icons through context and composition. Using layering, repetition, and juxtaposition, his complex pieces construct “worlds within worlds.” With his massively intricate silk-screened paintings, sculptures, and installations, he’s able to blur the division between design, pop culture, and fine art. Ryan McGinness’s artwork has appeared in numerous books, magazines, and exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. The aim of his online catalog is finding manufacturers wanting to mass produce his toys. If you like them and you are a manufacture of sorts hit up Fabiano to make something happen. The creatures he creates are simple yet attractive and they all share a very similar style about them. Fabiano also has posted up a few of his designs on the Patch Together website and you can check them out HERE and HERE, so go vote on them if you dig em!

Phu x Yoka = Rebel Traxx for D-CON
Phu just sent over his latest custom titled "Rebel Traxx" for a custom Yoka show at DesignerCon in Pasadena, California in November. This is going to be one large show with over 300 artists participating in it. The rad thing about Phu's custom is that it comes with that fantastic rotating base. This is a 3" Yoka and Phu used all kinds of found objects to make it including: Fleece blanket - Cable ties - Broken toy parts - Brass rivets - Found objects - Plastic pellets - Wire!
