"Nutter" from Kronk

Nut up with the shell-shocked squirrel from South African illustrator Kronk and Kidrobot. Armed with an acorn grenade complete with removable pin, this super limited 5-inch figure—only 500 made worldwide and will retail for $50! This is being released on Friday, November 27th 2009 at most vinyl retailers and Kidrobot.com of course. This is a really cool figure, and I can almost guarantee this will get more colorways I would be shocked if it did not! The actual figure looks really nice and appears to have a removable helmet and many points of articulation in the head, arm, leg and possibly wrist and tail!

*ReCap* L’amour Supreme’s show at Super7

For those of us who were unable to travel to Super7 SF for the solo show of L'amour Supreme, you weren't alone because neither could I, but thanks to Joe from the Kaiju Cronicle for the rad pictures and to Kirkland from Toybot Studios for the video we have some fantastic coverage. At the show you there were some custom RealxHead, Killer J, and Super7 inspired pieces, as well as some OG paintings/inkings and some rad Onell customs as well!

The event looks like it was a blast, all the people dressing up, and the work that Joel aka L'amour Supreme did for this show was just sick, the detail in every piece was meticulously completed, the colors pallet was thought out and every piece was top notch. I can only type so much from not being there so I will let the pictures and video do the rest of the talking! Oh and just posted up are the leftovers from the show, if your fast you might be able to snag one HERE!

"Playtime" wooden toy designed by Alberto Cerriteño and produced by Gary Ham

Alberto Cerriteño was very interested and looking for some contacts to produce a vinyl toy of one of his illustrations about a cat playing with a ball of yarn, to no avail... but after a few days Alberto received a really nice email from Gary Ham, and the rest is history!

Gary came up with the suggestion to collaborate and produce a more crafty version of this toy, and Gary did what he does best and created this amazing wooden sculpture with movable parts based on Alberto's design. This piece stands about 6.75" to the tip of his highest ear and 7.25" to the top of his tail. This piece turned out great and if you would like to see more pictures hit up Alberto's Flickr HERE! I can see Gary doing more work like this for Alberto, his art translates over so well to this wood-craft style!
