Phoneticontrol x The False Idols Collective
Well look what just showed up in my inbox, a special exclusive proto-type picture of a collab that Eric "Phoneticontrol" Broers x The False Idols Collective are doing together. Many may remember their last collab together titled "Don't Sleep" (posted HERE). This time however they are going from 2D to 3D with the help of authorized bootlegger Dodgrr. These will all be hand paint one of a kind figures... not much else is known, but once I find out more, you all will be the first to know!

Super7 @ SDCC 09 reveals some D.I.Y. love!
SDCC 09 is right around the corner, and Super7 is set to release a ton of toy's on all the unsuspecting geeks that roam the halls of the convention center! Looks like these are just a few from what the teaser posted HERE/BELOW hinted at and this time around they are giving the artist in all of us a crack at their designs with a three pack of 4.5" blank DIY's! The three above are from Josh Herbolsheimer's titled "ROSE VAMPIRE", then the very familar "STEVEN THE BAT" from Bwana Spoons and last but not least is Le Merde's "HOLLIS". These bad boys are going to be on sale at the Super7 Booth #4729 for $50 which gets you all three!
A big special thanks to Jeremy from ARTkivers for the pic and info! "Super7 (Booth #4729) is bringing a bunch of exclusive vinyl down to SDCC this year. There will be things that glitter and things that glow. Call me a minimalist, but what I'm most excited about is the 3-pack of 4.5-inch blanks. If the concept of abstract, shapeless DIY toys is growing old to you, check out DIY versions of signature characters instead. Super7 made up blanks of Le Merde's Hollis, Bwana Spoons' Steven the Bat and Josh Herbolsheimer's Rose Vampire. In addition to the blank Hollis, Super7 will have painted pieces. If you dig the fig, keep this in the back of your head: there may be some further exciting versions on the horizon. Bwana's Steven has been retooled for the SDCC release. With several colorways of the original figure, it'll be interesting to see what people do with the blanks (sans drumsticks). Finally, Josh introduces Rose Vampire, a hybrid of two entities that draw blood. The figure is cleverly designed to be both cute and thorny. Note to customizers: each figure is made of hollow, Japanese vinyl with a pop-off head. The figures will be sold as a blank set of 3 for about $50. With the artists in attendance for the convention, you can get them all signed or customized for what you'd normally pay for a single production piece. Nice."

"Take Me to Your Cheese" custom by Dylan Sisson for Mickey Brand Halo Show!
Dylan Sisson just sent over some awesome images of his submission for the Mickey Brand Halo Show. The title of this piece is "Take Me to Your Cheese" and as you can tell this Mickey has some chompers to do some real damage to any cheese that stands in his path. Dylan writes "This Mickey is from the future and made of shiny metal. In his future everything is made of the highest quality metal, but they have forgotten how to make cheese. Mickey has built a time machine to come back to simpler times, in search of cheese. He comes in peace ... we hope." Dylan released his first toy last year through Toy Tokyo called "Idle Hands", which is one sweet piece of vinyl. The Mickey Brand Halo Show is @ Times Square, HK and is running now until August 2nd, which is being organized by 3-MIX Disney Asia and Disney Channel Asia.
