Patch Together has teamed up with OKKLE, the amazing UK artist well known for his outstanding customs to bring you one of his characters known as "SKONK". These awesome creations are 6" and made of resin. As of right now they are available only through stores and wholesale, and if enough are ordered then this will go into production!
Here is the story of the "Skonk"
"The Skonk is a rather unfortunate creature, it's closest cousin is the skunk, a creature known for it's ability to project a foul odour onto it's enemy. The Skonk however is unable to control it's foul odour, instead it constantly seeps out from it's tail, so much so that over the years it starts to condense and coat the hairs on the end of it's tail and slowly form a thick gooey liquid coating. This goo is incredibly sticky and near impossible to remove once stuck to anything. Skonks live in burrows in woodlands or grassy plains. Their burrows are easy to spot due to the terrible odour permeating from them and mounds of berry skins and nut shells scattered around."
Brian Castleforte aka Nicebunny waved his magic wand and did up some papercraft for Mike Franco of Wizard Sleeve Toys. This awesome little guy is based off the WST logo and character, and will make it's way into any orders placed through WTS online! If you think this is rad, keep your eyes peeled because Mr. Franco has some AMAZING things planned with this character.
In an effort to empty out his studio and in light of the current economy Motorbot will be raffling off some of the leftover customs he has lying around. Each ticket will cost only $5 and the number of tickets available will vary with each figure.
First up is a member of the mutant army. He stands about 6 inches tall. 14 tickets available. You can buy as many tickets as you want. Just post a comment when you buy one. Tickets can be purchased by sending cash to info@motorbot.net. Once he’s gone he will toss another toy on the block!
MPHLabs is working with artist Lou Pimentel to bring one of his custom creations to life, and by Life I mean into full production. Posted up on VPEast is a teaser shot of what is to come, which looks great! This did not satisfy me enough though... and I know this was based off a custom that Lou made titled Cranston Fellows Jr, which was an 8"Qee egg, so I did some sleuthing, and if my speculation is correct, the production piece should look something like what I made HERE. Now keep in mind this is just speculation, and the picture posted below was doctored by me, but this is alot of fun. Click through for more pics, and I will keep you updated as soon as I get more info!
So tell me, how did I do, do you all think this is what will soon be made a production piece, I sure hope so, not only because this will be a rad figure, but because Lou is an awesome dude, and he deserves this without a doubt! Below is a picture of the custom that Lou created, and he took this picture a while back, and this custom is what I created the mock picture above from! Go Lou Go!
Frank Kozik has done it again with his latest bronze edition MechaNana. Part "steampunk" and part "kaiju" this piece is a reinterpretation of the classic pop art banana icon. When asked to describe this piece Kozik just shrugged and said it was a "marital aide"... go figure! Hahah, oh Frank you make us all blush!
These are extremely limited to only 22 pieces and 2 APs these should sell out quickly like the classic Beethoven bronze which now fetch over $5k. These are 10 inches long and 6" tall and wide. Photo is a mock up and final piece might vary a bit. (should look better!) These are going to retail for around $2000-$2500, so keep your eyes open once they drop!
Info from the very great, and amazing DKE Toys. For Wholesale Inquiries about this awesome product please contact www.dketoys.com.
This rad little custom by James yeah? based off of Okkle's original resin birdlett titled "The lesser spotted Birdlett" turned out super clean, and really plays off the origional sculpt that Okkle created. James says that this bird "is a quite common British bird, Mainly seen hanging around birdhouses in the late summer evenings sexually harassing lady lesser spotted birdletts." Oh and one more thing to add, "The lesser spotted Birdlett's" diet consists mainly of worms and bill oddie branded bird food... hehehe! Turned out great man!
Well, I meant to post this up on Tuesday, but got behind on my site... as usual, but THESE ARE AWESOME!!! The great creators of Marshall Mashumaro and the evil(more like kind) geniuses behind 64Colors Eric and Laura did up some custom hand painted "Toasted Mellows" for the release and signing at Rotofugi this past weekend. These we randomly placed in the events goodie-bags for some unsuspecting attendees, who I presume were pleasantly surprised when they opened to see this amazing custom staring at them! these turned out so great, and i am hoping they do a run of these... SIGN ME UP!
