This website is about any and everything that sparks the creative genius in all of us. By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and enjoy all aspects of design. From traditional to urban from resin to vinyl, these are all great mediums and deserve to be explored. On top of that everything from music to movies from guns to graffiti.
This is an open platform show at Lift Detroit on May 9th from 7 to 10 pm featuring Western toys, kaiju, resin, one of a kind sculptures, and paintings. The show is a host to many amazing artists, and the only stipulation is that the piece has to be large in scale. This is going to be an amazing turnout of over 50 Artists from across the globe, so if you can make it out to this show...you will not be sorry!

Kidrobot just posted a great interview with French artist, SupaKitch where he talks about NYC, his usage of color and his fascination with feathers! This is a really cool interview and really gives some good insight into this man as an artist, a look at a little bit of his work...and a taste of a strong French accent!
Coming up on May 7th, 2009, THUNDERDOG and INTERSPECTACULAR will be dropping the much anticipated Billy Bananas toy (designed by Tristan Eaton) at Jonathan Levine’s Gallery! Jonathan was nice enough to let us take over the gallery for this one night event, so don’t sleep, come down early and get a full set signed! Accompanying the Billy figures will be an extensive display of art including paintings, prints and sculpture by Tristan Eaton and a video installation by Interspectacular! Crazy good times. Each color way is limited to 150 pieces or less, so it’s first come, first serve!!! Get there early! For the event, all 5 color ways will be available for purchase. Inspiration/Story behind the piece: This print is dedicated to the memory of a sentient being named Diego who took the form of a cat for a while before moving on to what I hope is a more enlightened state. This print is a type of Buddhist prayer in hopes that Diego might someday, in some lifetime, reach Nirvana
Bio of Artist: Karen Fiorito is a political street artist currently residing in Los Angeles, California. She has recently exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Portland and Rome. Her artwork has appeared in Art in America, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Boston Phoenix, the LA Weekly, URB magazine and the Seattle Weekly. Ms. Fiorito received her Master's in Fine Art in Printmaking from Arizona State University and her B.F.A. from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She currently owns and operates her own fine art printmaking studio and publishing company, Buddha Cat Press, which produces prints for such artists as Robbie Conal, Winston Smith and Mear One.
Info on the Studio: This print was done in conjunction with Pasadena City College, when Ms. Fiorito was a visiting artist.
