"It Came From SkullBrain" Event in San Francisco!

Where did it come from? Well it came from Super7 in San Francisco! This past Saturday, Super7 unleashed its fresh arsenal of customs on the world with its new show "It Came From SkullBrain".

It came from Skullbrain 04.18.09

The event mainly focused on the customizing of Japanese vinyl Kaiju toys! The toys were indeed mouth-watering and well customized, but were further complemented by the eye-catching photos. The opening reception was amazingly festive with the presence of Leecifer, DrilOne, Gotchabert, Paul Kaiju, LilJapan, Mr Grzlli Atom, Paul Kaiju, and even Jesse Hernandez, just to name a few.

Paul Kaiju, Leecifer, myself, and LilJapan!

If you love customs, Kaiju, photography, awesome art, and good company! Then you should head on over to Super7 in Japan Town, San Francisco and take a look at the great pieces done by great minds! For more photos of the opening reception check out my flickr!

Blind Boxed TV - Episode #2

Robby"Brownkidd"Weiss sent over some love from his new site BlindBoxed.com. This is part of the Albotas network and looks to focus just on toys, so without further ado here it is, the second episode of blindboxed tv! Really cool content and a great video format, so sit back, laugh a little and enjoy!

NemO's customs for the New Moon show

These are a couple shots of the customs that master customizer NemO did for the NEW MOON show at MyPlasticHeart, that happened two Friday's ago. Above are some better pics of the work, and the first is all ORIGINAL sculpey sculpted Horse design. This was designed and sculpted all by NeMo, where he thought he would give it a NEW MOON feel with the sphere ball representing a half moon eclipse. The second is a Mix media built Rooster, where he had more fun developing since he is the year of the rooster, and basically it's a women riding a man made type rooster, dreaming to fly to the NEW MOON! Both of these pieces are available for purchase HERE, so help support this amazing artist!

Stay tuned for more exclusive pics from NeMo because next up is a custom Kicktoys show at Toyqube where he will have an exclusive pic for us by the end of the week...awesome stuff from this guy!!!!

3rd works - Solo art show by Ray "Three" Robinson

3rd works, in San Francisco at D-structure was Ray "Three" Robinson 3 first solo art show, and it went great! There was a nice turnout that evolved into a long evening of partying. =)

As promised here are a bunch of great pics of everything. The paintings and sculpts themselves, behind the scenes, the reception, and the zipper slug toy proto. You can peep out all the pics at his flickr.

The ZIPPER SLUGS shots included are still just prototypes but will give you a good idea of the figure and process. Included is the paint proto, cast, and sculpt in the pics. Ray is only about half way done with the fabrication refinement so expect something a lot smoother in the end. The resin figure stands 6" tall and will be coming out this summer. Everything will be up for public viewing until the end of the month, everyday of the week, 11am - 7pm. for all you out of towners a limited print, that is currently available at the show, will soon be up for online purchase.
