Even more customs for the I.W.G. show...
So here are even more I.W.G. customs for the Humans Beware show going off at Rocket world in San Francisco on April 10th. Even with all of these pictures being posted there are still probably 50+ artists still out there that have not showed off their talent yet! Keep on checking back here for the most recent updates as I get them in, they will be posted up. Also for those wanting a print and are unable to make it to the show, contact DrilOne for info on how to get one of these!

In living color: Neon vinyl art from Infectious
Miss Kika draws on her Catholic upbringing and her childhood worship of Lisa Frank for her fantastical design Hail Rainbow, Full of Grace.
And a big welcome to design contest veteran Mike Friedrich who joins the Infectious family of artists with his electrifying Thrillin' Bear artwork. (Anyone else think the bear has a bit of a KISS eye make-up thing going on as well?) If you're as crazy about his ursine art as we are, then go and check out his matching t-shirt over at Design By Humans.
We also want to give a shout out to Niel Quisaba and his design Kill for Love. The Infectious team love the color palette he used and have voted it our favorite submission of the month.
As of Monday 30th March our promotional launch sale on iPhone and iPod art is ending and the price will be going up to $14.99. So be quick if you want to transform your device into a work of art for a bargain price!!!

Bug Jar #2 by Chris Ryniak
Cleveland artist Chris Ryniak, whose "Big Muscamoot" vinyl figure is due to be released by Rotofugi & Squibbles Ink any day now, will launch the second installation of his new “Bug Jar” series of customized vinyl figures this Friday at Shoparooni.com!
The Bug Jar Series will feature customized mini figures from MINDstyle, Kidrobot and other companies. One custom figure will be released each month, and the figure itself will not be revealed until the buyer has received it. Each will be a unique, hand-painted and sculpted custom figure from lines such as Kathie Olivas’ Scavengers and Kidrobot’s Dunnys.
The second custom, a hand painted, hand-sculpted 3" Dunny named “Midwestern Mud Tracker,” will be released tomorrow, Friday, March 27th at Shoparooni.com between 9 PM and 11 PM, EST. Retail for this Bug Jar release will be $200. There will also be some very special Bug Jar releases at the upcoming Dragon*Con in September at Chris’ table in Artist’s Alley.
The last Bug Jar release, a custom Scavenger figure, sold in just a hair over 3 minutes! Better be quick on the draw for this one! And, as a nice little bonus, if a second person gets their order in before the figure is pulled, they will get a free Chris Ryniak postcard set, courtesy of Chris and Shoparooni.

"Bad Programming" - Custom 6" Mecha Sad Bear
Alright...so if anyone questioned Cris Rose's customizing capabilities (which I doubt anyone ever did)shun the nonbelievers because he is for real. He took a not so good looking designer toy and turned it into something awesome. the paint application, attention to detail, look at all of those grommets and thingamabops, this is the whole package here!
This is what Cris had to say:
This is what Cris had to say:
"I'm not usually the type for blood and violence, but once i'd started work on this chap, it seemed pretty clear why he was so disappointed with himself...Right on Cris, this turned out amazing, just like all of your custom pieces! If you guys are diggin what you see, Cris is always open for commissions so hit him up and tell him what you would like and he will completely transform it into a piece of art!
Sometimes robots go wrong. It's not their fault that they were programmed badly, but it is good to have a big off switch round the back just in case...
...even if you do meet your maker in the process...
I'm a big fan of Possessed, so this is also a little nod to it. :)"
