The Neil Winn Project - Making a Resin Figure

The Toy Break crew is doing a community wide toy creation from start to finish with the help of artist extraordinaire Neil Winn. The first part is voting on what you want to see made, and then from there they will video tape every step of the way! How cool is that! So head on over HERE and get your vote in today!

So the first step is - an idea. Neil quickly sketched up 3 rough drawings and we decided to leave it up to you guys, the viewers and fans, to pick what you want to see sculpted. So now it's up to you! Vote here for your favorite design, and then discuss! Let us know what you like, don't like, blah blah blah.

On Wednesday, April 1st we'll take whichever one is in the lead and begin the process. We'll try and show you some tidbits each week, but we'll film a full step by step for each process and make the videos available for viewing.

Let's have fun making a cool project together! The more input from you guys the more we can make something you all want to see. if there are any specific things you want to see us cover, tell us that too! We'll use this thread to keep you up to date on what's going on and you can tell us what you think as we go!

Walrus TV Artist Feature: Hera

In the latest Walrus TV Artist Feature, Hera discusses everything from her childhood, to her views on art. Taking her name from the Greek Goddess Queen, she’s inspired by mythological creatures and the high drama of her namesake. Hera enjoys the disposable nature of street art because her tastes change from day to day. Each of her pieces is like her child and she tries to find “good homes” for them on the street. As you hear the artist speak about her craft, you see her painting one of her trademark pieces – half Bambi, half girl – a true expression of innocence.
