This website is about any and everything that sparks the creative genius in all of us. By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and enjoy all aspects of design. From traditional to urban from resin to vinyl, these are all great mediums and deserve to be explored. On top of that everything from music to movies from guns to graffiti.
Ray “Three” Robinson aka 3 is a San Francisco based artist and designer. His style can be described as colorful, character-heavy and pleasantly flat with aspects of both retro and contemporary design. Heavily influenced by graffiti and cartoons, his works span murals, canvas, sculpture, fashion, and multimedia design.
He is now currently getting ready for an upcoming venture on April 3rd. This show is entitled 3rd works, it will feature a number of paintings along with some sculpts of different types including a new toy prototype(pic above). You can see more of 3's work at his clothing site HERE. The proto looks really cool, and is about 6" tall, next to a small montana rattle can...sweetness! Stay tuned for more updates as they roll in!

As part of Upper Playground's interview series, Dithers, listen in as photographer Ricky Powell interviews painter Kostas Seremetis in his studio in New York City. Kostas discusses how he got his start initially as an animator and was rejected from all of the art schools that he applied to, but that didn't stop him from pursuing his dream and becoming a successful painter. Seremetis discusses the importance of painting what he loves, and that includes super heroes, comic books, sci-fi movies and samurai movies.
