"Shopwars 2009" happens tonight

1:AM gallery and Delicious Drips are hosting Shopwars 2009 and the Bay Area will never be the same. Over 20 local creative companies entered and were given a blank Toy2R 8″ Qee as their canvas. Armed with time, creativity, and whatever materials they could muster, each participant prepared their designer toy blank for the showcase voting exhibition on September 25th at 1:AM gallery. The event brings together companies throughout the Bay Area to compete for creative recognition and we need your help to determine the winner!

The voting reception is a 21+ event on September 25th, 2009 from 7:30 - 10:00pm.

The popular street food vendors, Adobo Hobo, Wholesome Bakery, and Brazilian Bites, will be there to satisfy your appetite. There will also be beer and wine available on site.

The toys will be for public purchase from September 25th to October 10th. 50% of proceeds from the sales of the customized toys will go to Project Open Hand. Support local businesses while they compete creatively for a cause! Since 1985, Project Open Hand has been providing “meals with love” to people living with serious illnesses and to seniors in San Francisco and Alameda County and has served as a model for over 100 organizations all over the world.
