WHAT'S NEW

Poli-tricks T-Shirts Poke Fun at the American Way

In tough times, humor and satire can strike an even deeper resonance with the public. They help us question conventions and challenge the status quo that suddenly doesn’t seem so perfect anymore. That’s exactly the thinking behind the new satiric T-Shirt line, Poli-Tricks, from How Alive Clothing.

Call it fashion for the politically disgruntled, the socially aware, the libertarian at heart. Poli-tricks takes on the big issues of the day from war and debt to photo radar. It’s just our small way of saying: hey, what the #@$% is going on around here! Judging by the strong response from the public and from retailers, it’s a question a lot of people are not only asking each other, but ready to wear on their chest.

“Poli-tricks is about saying the things out loud that many people are already wondering to themselves,” says founder and creative director Matt Grosso. “We may not know all the answers, but we take serious questions and put them out there in a humorous context. It raises awareness and if you love this country, you want to point out the flaws so we can do something about it.”

Poli-tricks’ central character is the cute and corrupt American Joe. A politician, a business man and an organized criminal, American Joe will clean you out with a wink and smile. Just like the guys who always get this country into trouble, American Joe is like a lovable mascot for all the great rip off artists of our era.

Questioning authority and satirizing the people who wield power is part and parcel of the American way. The Poli-Tricks line continues this tradition and has some serious fun at the same time. To learn more and to purchase t-shirts go to: http://howaliveclothing.com.

How Alive Clothing is the brainchild of Matt Grosso. Matt is a graphic artists, a healer, a DJ and a poet. Originally from Trenton, NJ, Matt relocated to Scottsdale, AZ where he founded How Alive Clothing and continues to rock the boat of the status quo.
