WORKS BY BANANA VIRUS!!!!

BanaNa ViruS
Artist TaraNti, born 1982 in Taiwan, presents his two series of figures – [GibbEt] and [JungLe ChimEra]. I had the opportunity to speak with FuFuFanny, Banana Virus's sister and she hooked me up with all of these great shots and info...these two siblings make a dynamic duo, and their figures are amazing. Below are pictures of Banana Virus's work, let me know what you think! And thank you so much to FuFuFanny for all the great pics and info!

The RedBeat Ape
The RedBeat Ape of JungLe ChimEra. The idea of creation came from ape and bunny, which are recently two popular characters of many designers in the toy field, certainly because they cater to public taste, but more importantly, they are my personal favorites TOO.

Since they are everyone’s favorite, why not mix these two characters together and design a whole new breed. A 12” figure!!! This character is set to be a Head of a gangster in the 60’s and 70’s at JungLe ChimEra. This model is him getting out of shower with boxers and slippers on Wearing leopard fur coat with a cigar in his hand.

The GibbEt
The idea was inspired by key chains. In a funny way, figures hung on key chains look like hanged man/animals, thus came forth the design of GibbEt. This one on the left is the initial design. Shit happens all the time. Sometimes you might want to hang yourself. But nobody really likes to be hung…right?! So it was designed as my own look…HaHaHa!

The GibbEt is designed with "double sides". The picture on left is the front side. Hands will be dragged down. On right is the back side. Hands will be open! How cool is that!!!!

The RedBeat Ape of The GibbEt Family
The RedBeat Ape becomes “cute”! Picture on left is the back side. And he also wears the same coat as The big RedBeat Ape!! Picture on the right is the front side. And the technique of painting each one is different. Can you tell??

Cow and Bunny of The GibbEt Family
Left is the cow version. Right is the bunny version. I even do the brush strokes on the jeans they wear....hahaha... All my works are 100% made by hand. Hope you guys like it!
