BRENT NOLASCO X BIC PLASTICS???
"No end in sight" designed by Brent NolascoI am not quit sure when this is going to happen, but talking with Brent at SDCC this year, he had mentioned this coming to fruition, and now BIC Plastics has kinda, somewhat confirmed it with this post.

This character is a mystic creature that flows endlessly though the universe. He is in search of some purpose to full fill his void in life. So his task of finding that one thing becomes a life journey. With the twist and turns of the universe. The ending point is not at his gasp. Slowly he finds his way through life's trails and turmoils. And sees nirvana in the horizon.
He might come in life shortly!
I hope this happens, this would make a killer piece, I think Brent needs his own series...what a super talented artist. Check out his customs on his blog and website, and get ready for your eyes to be amazed!
URBAN LEGENDS - ALPHA CULT
"Urban Legends" Alpha Cult's 3-Year Anniversary Art Show & Celebration.
Perhaps it is cliché to state the words, "It seems like only yesterday. . .", but we can hardly believe that our humble little business turns 3 years old this Saturday. It has been nothing short of a true labor of love as we set out in 2005 to share our passion for Vinyl Toys and the Urban Contemporary Art Scene, and since then, we have always welcomed those who are "in the know", as well the new blood that we've initiated into this world. Our place in the arts community here is not something we take for granted, but cherish and continue to work hard to earn because without YOU, we simply wouldn't be here.
So allow us to give a little back the only way we know how. . .
This Saturday is the Opening Reception for "Urban Legends", the largest art show we've had to date! With our friends at ISM Magazine lending a hand, we have gathered over 40 artists from all over the scene to participate and create an amazing show that is exemplary of what kind of art gallery we are! If you haven't been down to see us lately, this is the show YOU CAN'T MISS!

The Edge of Invisible Alternative Drawing/Illustration Exhibition
Just got word from Patrick Francisco about a show that he is involved with in Florida. This show really has not unveiled to much about itself yet, but I will be sure to keep you all posted as soon as I find out more.

SHOCKING FISH
So this was crazy last night. A good friend of mine whom I played football with in college is working for the California Fish & Game Department, and they had to do an inventory at lake San Vincente, which is in my neck of the woods. They call themselves the "Shock Crew" and for a good reason.
The boat used has tentacles that send electric currents into the water stunning all the fish in the general area, and then those said fish float to the surface where they are netted, measured, weighed and then placed back into the water. We probably caught over 500 fish and the largest was a 27lb carp(huge). Great experience and a late night. Enjoy the pics!
