WHAT'S NEW

EL MAC IN AMSTERDAM

El Mac is the Mac and he does some pretty amazing work...like none I have seen before. We posted a little while ago about some prints he put out, and looking at this work he does on walls is simply jaw dropping! I am truly impress with this work ,and look forward to seeing more from El Mac!

From the Juxtapoz site:
El Mac, one of our favorite graffiti and street artists part of The Seventh Letter (Juxtapoz cover #78) recently got one of his infamous murals up in Holland, where he is currently taking part in Streetlab in Amsterdam.

If you’re not yet familiar with this legend’s work, you should be. “Mac has gained increasing notoriety for his almost photorealistic depictions of both ordinary people and ethereal women, in a style that is uniquely his own. Mac's intricate brushwork styles have also gained attention, while some of his murals have become mini-landmarks,” states TSL website.

Bridging a gap between the styles of fine and street art, El Mac is an artist that continuously pushes boundaries, creating revolutionary pieces all over the globe. “I’m going to meet up with Retna in Milan next week,” he told Juxtapoz. We can’t wait to see what those cats get into over in Italy!

In the mean time, check out more of El Mac’s work at www.elmac.net and mac-arte.blogspot.com
You gotta just love the color scheme he uses...just looks like 2 colors, with different levels in transition rippling towards the edge of the wall...amazing! As always please visit the Juxtapoz site for more pictures from this amazing event!
